I was going to post the same thing. I was watching the game, thinking, "If this freakin' turf gets Andre Johnson hurt, I'm gonna be so pissed."
There's a new field going in tonight. It's sitting in the parking lot right now getting lots of sunshine. The Texans should be good to go for tomorrow's game and next weekend.
How many pages has it been since we pointed out that the Titans suck? Screw those hillbillies!! Kick their asses all the way back to Neckville! Take no prisoners!!! Dammit Gary, you'd better game-plan to beat the ever-living **** out of that POS franchise.
Well, that sucks. Could've sworn they said a new field was going in. They even showed it on TV. Maybe they're only going to replace the parts inside the hashes. Hope the field is consistent. Would hate to see a Texan go down like Welker did a couple years ago. We're screwed if we lose Johnson, Foster or Daniels.
The consistency is just as important as it not being torn up. Back when the turf was the focus of our hatred, someone on sports radio was saying you could visibly notice the seams from the sidelines and that it was inconsistent patch to patch.
Here is my pre game bottom line: since the Texans became champions they haven't played like champions. Tomorrow I am looking for a champion wearing steel blue and white, a champion that will run over and pound into the ground the team with the sissy blue uniforms and despicable owner. Thank you, that is all.
Going to the game tomorrow. Plan to be there about 10. Will I be good or should I shoot for earlier? Rocket River
^ Same question for me as Rocket River. Will be there about 10:30 though. What do they usually do for Fan Appreciation Day?
Gates to the stadium won't open until 10:30. So, unless you're doing the tailgating thing, no need to get there earlier. Things to do before going in the stadium would be visiting the Budweiser Plaza. Some cheerleaders will be there and you can get autographs from the Texans Ambassadors. If you have little ones coming along, make sure to visit the Fan Zone on the south side of the stadium. Have fun and go Texans!
don't care about this game to be honest. I understand momentum but I don't buy it that it would impact us in the Playoffs. Playoffs are a different animal, teams will come out amped. Highly doubt that winning a game last week is on players minds while playing the playoff game. If anything going into the Playoffs on 3 consecutive losses would make players work even harder preparing don't you think? Either way win or lose I feel that the Texans should be favored against any team they might face except maybe the jets because they are a matchup problem and are experienced.
I know but it evens out. Texans beat the Bengals in Cincy in a very important game for the Bengals Texans destroyed Tennessee (albeit with Schaub) in Nashville. Oakland beat us with Jason Campbell and McFadden now they have neither (not sure what McFadden's status is) but the main thing was they were playing with extra intensity for Al Davis. Basically, Texans SHOULD beat all 3 teams in the Playoffs if they don't choke and play like they have shown they are capable.
