important game. Need to feed off the pro bowl snubs. Got to shake off the last two games and warm up for the real games. Open up the offense. Since W/L is meaningless, go all out in the first half and sit AJ, foster, Yates and others in the second.
Texans - 21 (first half points) + 3 (second half points) Titans - 3 (first half points) + 14 (second half points)
I'm curious to see how Kubiak manages this game. We have players that need rest, and the game is meaningless. Other players, like Andre(just a few),Yates, and possible the backup Qbs need reps. Not only that, but there is always the chance that we play the Titans again the following week. I don't think Kubiak will necessarily go vanilla, because we play the Titans so many games, but I wonder who he'll sit, and who he'll give reps to. Texans - 16 Titans - 27
If you are right, the team will limp into the playoffs on a three game losing streak, no momentum, fans will have completely lost that "loving feeling," and chances of a playoff win will be slim. They must go all out and win this one, no matter what. If they "play it safe," then it is all over.
I don't give a **** what happens in this game, as long as we are firing on all cylinders for the playoffs. If that means playing all out in this game, then do it. If that means resting players, then do that. I just don't want anything that happens this week to negatively affect our performance in the playoff game.
another low scoring game for us.. don't see us winning this one either unless dre plays..which is going to suck because im going to the game.. if dre doesnt play... texans-16 titans-24 if dre does play... texans-24 titans-16
It doesn't necessarily matter if fans have that "loving feeling." And I'm not saying that Kubiak should rest everybody or anything like that. But I'm just wondering if Kubiak treats this as a game 3 of the preseason, or something like that. Have the starters play a half, or just play until they're firing on all cylinders, and then bring in some backups that need playing time. I understand the whole, "win to feel good" push, but if the offense comes out firing, scores two quick touchdowns, and the defense plays great, does it matter if we win in the long run? Some people would say absolutely yes, but I think it doesn't. I'd rather lose a game that saw our starters play great (while resting the starters for a quarter or two), than win a game that sees another starter injured for the playoffs. I can see both sides of the argument, and really, I'm not trying to take sides. I'm just kind of wondering aloud what Kubiak will do. Honestly, I can see both sides, and I agree with aspects of both.
it's the freaking titans. they should lose because they're the titans. it is immoral to allow a titans victory, especially in Houston.
You must spread some reputation around before giving it to msn again. Losing to the Possum Holler Inbreeds is unacceptable, breaking their black hearts and crushing the life out of their slim playoff hopes is a duty we can't take lightly just because we have clinched a #3 seed.
Y'all know as soon as the game gets started on Sunday y'all are gonna get that Texan pride to come out and scream for us to get a win. At least I will.
Oh yes, now we are talking; these are the Titans, Bud Adams is the owner, the game is in Houston, there is a chance to ruin their season, that must happen! I don't want to see another whimpy Kubiakian performance. NO FEAR! Crush the hillbillies!
This should be a good test for the Texans. Many of the players have never been to the playoffs and this game will give them a feel of what it's like. The Titans are desperate and must win to have any chance to make it to the postseason. The Titans will give the Texans their best shot. It should give the Texans experience of the magnitude of the playoffs going into next week's wild card game.
To revisit and old signature: You're in a room with one gun, with Bud Adams, Saddam Hussein, and Osama bin Laden. Who do you shoot first? Spoiler Saddam Hussein and Osama bin Laden are already dead. Unload the mother****er on Bud Adams.
