LOL @ the Peyton Manning question...
I notice these kinds of things. I don't see them from Koubiak. This was my point. I think I would have brought this up even if they had not won the game with Kris Brown's missed field goal.

Were you in the locker room? Have you ever been in the Texans locker room?

    By the way...it's Kubiak.

Really? Most football players who give interviews downplay that stuff in my experience.

No one is saying leadership isn't important, but it is very overplayed.

I'm going to use Ray Lewis as an example. When the Ravens were great on defense, announcers and fans loved to point to the nastiness of Ray Lewis and his exceptional leadership as being the key reason for their success. They lose Bart Scott, Samari Rolle, and Chris McCallister and suddenly they aren't as good on d. Did Ray stop leadershiping?

Oh good LORD, not this **** again... We didn't lose the game because of a lack of a freakin' pep-talk...

    Come on.

I did not say it was the only factor, but to ignore it as a factor is silly.

Leadership matters......some players are leaders, heck, some people are leaders, and some followers.

    It matters.

I agree, it was playing the Titans game, when you leave it up to the kicker, bad things can happen.

Were you at the game?

I'll turn it around for you... let's say that I WASN'T in the Texans locker room... which... of course, it's true: Why does FISHER do the pep talk on the field, in front of all Houston Fans, not in the locker room?

Again, Koubiak doesn't do this. He needs to do MORE OF THIS. Of course, you might think it's just fine and dandy to walk out of the locker room, have the players talk about what they did last weekend at the club... or how great the grass feels this game... FOCUS ON THE GAME... GET FIRED UP? Nah, that doesn't matter. It does. Koubiak lacks this.

Matt Schaub is a great leader and a kick ass QB. Glad we have him. Dude can't run, but whatever.

Is there a slower QB in the NFL?

If he had escapability even....he is just a pure stand in the pocket passer.

OK! Let's remove SCHAUB and VY from the Equation

WHICH TEAM'S OFFENSIVE TALENT WOULD YOU PREFER?

    TITANS:
    FB - A Hall
    RB - C Johnson/ L White
    WR - J Gage
    TE - B Scaife
    WR - N Washington/ K Britt

    Texans:
    FB - V Leach
    RB/ Moats/Slaton/Brown
    WR - K Walter /
    TE - O Daniels/ Dreessen
    WR - A Johnson/ A Davis / J Jones

    FB - a Wash
    RB - Titans >> Texans
    WR - Texans >> Titans
TE - Texans > Titans [with Daniels]

    IMO

    1. as others said...the top 3 QB's in the league in passing right now are Manning, Brady and Schaub. All could be described with what you said, above.

    2. did you not watch last night? did you not see him step up in the pocket and throw on the move, buying a bit of time for receivers? really?

To be fair, Schaub played great, but many of his throws were low to his receivers. I think I remember two that Andre dropped that were low. Another one or two Andre dropped or missed that were at his back shoulder. Even a couple balls Schaub threw downfield one, I think to Casey, and one to Walter, were low.

While Schaub played a great game last night, he had some accuracy issues.

And that's all I'm going to knock him because I believe that he is a top 5 quarterback in this league. I'm extremely happy with him.

Part of me wonders what type of numbers he'd have put up the last two games with Owen "Binky" Daniels. (A reference to Schaub's usage of Daniels as a security blanket) Would we have had two wins?

I'm sick of wondering "what if" with these Texans. It's been the past two seasons. This season, the only game that we really had no shot at winning was the first week of the season, when we were caught off guard by a fired up Jets squad. Erase that, and we're just a few plays away from being 9 and 1.

    So goes the NFL....

    The great passers can't run.

    Not a big deal.

He does hold onto the ball sometimes though, but he doesn't cough it up when he gets popped at least.
