All we needed was a lone touchdown in the second half...Houston football is never clutch. Carry on.

MAN I AM SO PISSED!!!! That last kick by the Titans knocked me out of the FF playoffs....lol.............

But seriously, it's time to get rid of Kubiak. He coaches to not lose, as opposed to coaching to win. The dude is too conservative. No way do the Colts or Patriots try to center the ball with 8 ticks left and a timeout in their pocket.

I say we dumb our kicker and pick up the singing version of Chris Brown. At least he can hit his target every now and then.

    I still love the Texans.

    I just hate the waiting.

Waiting for the Texans to be the ones on the other side.

Waiting for the Rockets to be the ones injury-free.

Waiting for the Astros to get younger and leaner.

Waiting for Vince Young to retire.

Time to face a harsh reality:

This team is never going to get it done.

This group of players, coaches...we will never win with them. Ever. It hasn't happened. It's not going to happen. So, as I see it, we have two choices: continue to wallow in mediocrity, playing .500 ball, until anyone on the team who's worth a darn ends up injured and/or traded.

Or we just hit reset on the whole franchise.

The last two games have been so bad, so demoralizing, it's almost like Buffalo 1992 all over again. I really think it has come to this. Fire sale: all players must go. Matt, Mario, Andre...everyone. Start over. Rebuild. Because this team is shaky at it's very foundation, and until that's fixed, you will see a lot more moments like tonight.

    He's not a joke.

He is what he is. And that's a mediocre coach.

And mediocre coaches don't lead slightly above average teams to the playoffs.

    HE LEADS THEM TO MEDIOCRITY.

Bring in a new coach. It might work out, it might not. But mediocrity is no longer an option. Sometimes you have to take chances.

more of the "we're one team the first half and a different one the second half"

that half to half inconsistency has been entirely consistent this season.

He's a crappy coach imo, one of the worst in the league.

I agree and disagree....We should have tried to get a shorter FG...we had the time and the TO to do it, just no balls and that happens to often. Kris has been great for alot of years minus the 2-14 yr but he has been responsible for 2 straight losses in a large part and I'd love to give him a free pass after so many years with this team but I can't.

I'd love to have the Patriots coach right now. At least he plays to win. That would be refreshing.

I'm not usually on the 'fire Kubiak' wagon - I prefer to look at the players first - but it's pretty hard to figure out the move to elevate Chris Brown.

I mean, he basically just decided that our third back was our number 1 guy out of nowhere. I'm really interested in hearing the reasoning behind that.

Turk had a couple nice punts that pinned them inside the 10.
And our offense got pretty good field position most of the night, thanks to some decent returns. Would of been nice to have Jacoby though.
AJ dropped a few passes but he did score a TD for us.
Coaching was average at best. Why they continued to use Brown all night and deny Moats a chance boggles my mind. And I can't fathom why they didn't give Schaub a shot at the endzone at the end. They did a fairly good job of containing Johnson, but jeez, how many 3rd and longs did Young convert on rushing?!
Slaton dropped a big pass that could have extended a potential game ending drive, plus, like Brown, he wasn't that effective in the running game, when he was actually given the ball.

    Game was lost because:
    Too many missed opportunmities
    Lack of a running game
Horrible penalties (both deserved and not)
    Inability to contain Young
    Missed field goals
    Lack of pressure on Young
    Too much pressure on Schaub.

Hmmm... pretty much par for the course for this team.

Tough for Kris Brown. However it's not like either FG would have clinched the win. Still would have only forced OT. Hard to say for sure that the Texans would have won either of the two games.

doesn't make me feel better about him. with him not making one, we'll never know. i do know our chances are improved considerably if he can make it.

    Not sure where to start.

I guess coming in here makes me feel better, because I can see that some people are so ridiculously OVER the top that I'm not that ridiculous.

come on, this team will never win? Matt, Mario? They've barely been here! They've already reached the "they will never win together" status?? stupid.

Cushing just got here. So you're telling me if Chris Johnson walked in our door tomorrow and gave us a running game, this team would still be mediocre, and they'd have no chance because of the other players? And without getting rid of them it's over?

Growing up in Houston, I bled like this for years over the sad sack Oilers. That loss in Buffalo damn near finished me as I collapsed with chest pains and passed out. I grew up going to Jeppesen Stadium, Rice and then the Astrodome to watch some of the worst football in creation. Yet, I was there all along despite giving so much and receiving so very little.

Then Bottom-line Bud ups, moves them to Nashville and basically *****s in the face of every Houston football fan who put up with that sorry a$$ franchise for decades. Well, that clinched it for me. I vowed to never bleed like that again and I haven't. That's why I haven't drunk any of the "battle-red" koolaid nor have I let all of fantasy football numbers they put up blind me to what I see on the field. And what I saw at the beginning of the year and what I still see is an 8-8 team. This is a one-dimensional team on offense (no running game) with a defense that is still trying to live down the stupidity of the previous regime. As I've posted before: I'll start believing in them when they start putting the Ws on the board.
