why they didn't have a spy to keep an eye on vince young especially in the later stages of the game is way beyond me... you win and lose as a team and penalties, boneheaded play calling, and missed opportunities all culminated into a missed field goal...
Vince played a solid game. He kept a number of drives alive with some fantastic third down runs. Johnson was incredibly effective. There were a number of times where he pulled some big runs out of nothing. He's the most explosive back like that since Barry Sanders in my opinion.
If you're really counting Rockets' 2009-2010 regular season losses in your list of evidence for the Houston Curse, you need to do some studying.
I'm almost numb to being disappointed as a Houston Sports fan. I always bye into the hype and then get disappointed in the end. It's old, but not suprising. It's the life of being a Houston sports fan.
A spy can work but then Johnson will run wild and honestly Vince's running should not beat you and shouldn't have beat the Texans tonight...2 missed FGs will beat you though.
9-7 and miss the playoffs SHOULD help him keep his job... but many more games like this and brown won't be the only one on a new team next year.
right? and i tell myself i won't get sucked in again...won't get all pumped up again about the next "biggest game in franchise history" for the Texans... and yet i know i'm lying to myself. i'll be pumped for their next "biggest game in franchise history."
Dre had plenty of targets (even some forced balls), just didn't come away with more than four catches. They played too conservative at times and then too loose at others with the playcalling. Schaub lost his rhythm somewhere in the third or fourth, and they never got him back on-track until that last drive when they went underneath with quick-hitting plays. Need to get him back in groove earlier so they could've had a chance to win it on the drive before the Bironas FG. That three-and-out was the killer.
