The Texans scored on 3 out of 11 possessions today. Did the Titans really have a 70+% chance of converting a 4th and 3? It's not like their offense was very good today.
Yes because all the posts about calling the Titans the t***? Thats classy Not sure why i even bothered saying congrats here
To be fair, today at least, Collins had a very "Vince Young-esque" passing day. But for the most part, Collins has been very solid in the passing game.
Johnson has 1,156... Slaton has 1,124 and Forte 1,116 rushing yards He is defintely closing in on johnson though made up 35 yards today and surpassed Forte.
Again, context. It would've been 4, had Brown made a chip shot. It was borderline 6 out of 11, when you consider the two drives that each passed the 40 but resulted in punts. I know ifs don't matter in terms of the scoreboard, but they do matter in terms of predictive value for future situations. Also what you're doing is comparing apples to oranges. The reason lots of drives fail, including some by the Texans today, is that throughout the game, you constantly try to make big plays that could result in touchdowns, instead of taking safe, underneath routes. I think the Texans, or any other capable offense, will score more than 50 percent of the time if they know all they need is a FG.
just got back from the game and reliant was rocking! a great day to be a texans fan. we are on the front page of ESPN.com!
Wow, are you full of it! You have been a certified troll around here for years. You go into to Texans threads, even those not involving the Titans, and act like a complete a-hole and wonder why people don't like you. Then, when people call you on it you put on this Miss Innocent act and expect people to feel sorry for you. Even in this thread you called the Texans the laughingstock of the league and predicted an injury to our quarterback. Why should we accept your fake congratulations when you are the very definition of a sore winner? Nobody owes *you* anything around here.
Chris Johnson 1159 rushing, 259 receiving, 1418 total, 9 TDs Matt Forte 1115 rushing, 424 receiving, 1539 total, 11 TDs Steve Slaton 1124 rushing, 305 receivng, 1429 toal, 9 TDs Wow, way closer than I expected.. honestly I thought Slaton would be further behind on TDs for some reason. You got me.. I'd go Ryan > Forte > Slaton > Johnson at this point, which is a victory in itself for Slaton to surpass Johnson after the season he's had
Not sure why you bother even posting here. I think "troll" would probably explain a lot, though. And, making up nicknames for rival teams is as old a practice as sporting itself. Talk about your sourpuss whining. Cowgirls, sCrUBS, Yankmees, Red Sux, Braveless, you name it. Go find a tittys board.
WTF? Amazing win... My son actually got to go...a friend of his called him this about 9 this morning...He got to sit in a suite...He was so happy and said "Dad, that had all this food and the Texans won"...
oh yea, can i get a petition for the Texans to fire their replay challenge guy? that dude is a ****in' moron.
Real football team. Real BAD football team today. The Titans are evil. Bud Adams is still Satan in Houston and I wish nothing but all the worst for him and his team. I take great pleasure in watching the Titans come close and fail. Best Super Bowl Ever: St. Louis vs. Tennessee. 1 yard, 1 yard, 1 yard. Pure joy. How do you see the Texans as a laughingstock? Your opinion, Mr. 2-1-your-team-is-done, is a laughingstock. Don't the Titans have a message board where you can commisserate with other powder-blue followers? Until the Tennessee Adams actually win something worthwhile, who are they in the grand scheme of things? Nobodies. Also-rans. It's the curse of the Oiler- they'll never win a Super Bowl as long as that a**hole owns the team. Mark. it. Even though it won't happen, I pray for a Titans-Giants Super Bowl, with the same result as last year for the AFC. Texans Rule!!!! (memo to self- calm down- but hey, this is what you get when you take my Oilers from me- nothing but rational hatred for that franchise)
Well, whoever plays them. Wouldn't it be great to see someone like Atlanta make the Super Bowl against the Titans, and then see the Titans lose in the final seconds a la a Vinatieri-like ending? That would make my year (now that the Texans are out, of course. Ultimate is the Texans in the playoffs, of course). Or, better yet, a Norwood- have Bironas shank a 30-yarder with no time on the clock and the Falcons win by 2? I can dream, can't I?
http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/recap?gameId=281214034 "They weren't doing that well, but it was their Super Bowl and credit them for being the good team today," Titans cornerback Cortland Finnegan said. And your Super Bowl, Cortaid, will either never come or result in an L. "It's a big win for them as an organization," White said. "[But] no matter what they do, they'll still go home [during the] playoffs. We have a lot to look forward to." Yes, LenDale WhiteCastle, you can look forward to a loss in the playoffs at some point, because you WILL NOT WIN THE SUPER BOWL!
WTF! What a bunch of jackasses. Here's to me being a jackass in return...I hope they both have career ending injuries next week.
