"Houston, we have liftoff" - Gus Johnson Next year baby! Seriously this time. We just have to get healthier and get a little more of a favorable schedule.
Why was it a good call? Bironas is 12-12 in this stadium the last two years and has kicked a 51 yder today. While the Texans have moved the ball, they've only scored 13 pts today and Schaub doesn't have a lot of experience at 2-minute, game winning drives. Plus, the Titans are supposed to have the best defense in the NFL. Why not trust your ridiculously good kicker and your ridiculously good defense instead of relying on your average, game-manager QB? I'll be curious to hear the explanation for that one - very un-Fisher-like.
Great game, Fisher made an error not kicking that FG, also, the Titans need to get Vince back on the field, Collins will not take them anywhere in the playoffs. They need that dual threat. DD
Karma or Irony? mrdave saying haynesworth will knock schaub out of the game. haynesworth hobbles off the field and onto the bench.
haynesworth getting hurt was icing on the cake. don't want it to be career ending, that that guy is a dick.
We were destined to lose. We beat destiny! Next year, baby. And this time, I really mean it. Seriously. I do.
how's the atmosphere at texans games compared to rockets games? seems like texans fans are much more into it
I agree with the call.. I think he was going for the jugular by saying if we get this 1st, then the game is over.. we run the clock down and win it. You get no chance. But my assumption was a run for the 1st. As good as their kicker and D are...so is the run game. I'd have relied on that. I trust that more than I'd trust the defense against Schaub, who had moved the ball all day (and who has shown his 2-min drill ability..i.e. last week) I do agree with you that it was VERY un-Fisher..
