Fire him too. Tear down Reliant Stadium. Might as well play in the Astrodome if they're not going to open the roof. Fire Rich Lord, fire Vandemeer, fire everybody. This is just pathetic now.
The Texans have sucked so much that the very sound of Vandermeer's voice makes me expect something bad to happen at any moment.
Because the rule is it has to be between 50 and 80 degrees to have the roof open. Its a rule created because of fans on the north end who complained that the sun was always in their eyes... (Houston really does have the biggest pansies) Its 81 degrees today. Almost as big of a joke as the offensive line.
Thanks for the link, Nick. I concur. Not only is today's game a joke but the roof policy strikes a nerve with me. It's absolutely BEAUTIFUL outside and the roof is closed? And, why do we have a retractable roof in the first place? Still puzzled as to how the Texans got the 60% chance of rain from. I don't buy that study with the roof policy, at all. I'm sure everyone and their mother have sat in direct sunlight before. A llittle sun and discomfort won't kill you. Come on, Texans. Sheesh.
Hell yes I do... too bad the lackeys at the Chronicle (who happen to have their own show on the radio network that broadcasts Texans games) won't complain about it. We already know that 610 is obligated to root for the texans no matter what.
Ineptitude has reached new heights, some kind of world record for total incompetence. This is like a rerun entitled, "worst of the Oiler years."
Not only should the roof be closed, the lights should be turned off, and the broadcast blacked out. All living beings should be spared this travesty.
Our Def line needs to step up big time. 3 first round picks are not paying off for the texans. Thats a lot of money tied up there with very little in return so far. I still think they will be good.
Wait so why can't the roof open during the game? Cause MMP, at least in the past, opened the roof during the 8th and 9th inning on summer days. Is that just a stupid team rule, or an nfl one?
