Oh don't get me wrong...I love the cold...I was referring to Selig's decision to open the roof for the freakin' blimp camera and because it wouldn't be "fair" to the other team...damn that pisses me off still...it's not called "home field advantage" for nothing. On the flip side, I've watched Astros games in the summer, on a sunny 90 degree day with the roof open....it's not that big a deal really. But then again, I wasn't on the field and they weren't football players wearing lots of padding.
The Texans policy has nothing to do with the players... its about the season ticket holders who have seats that get the majority of the sun (who complain big-time, judging by their totally "defensive" roof policy explanation on the website). Its freaking 1 degree above the cutoff... as if that 1 degree is the difference between "comfortable" and "unbearable" by the fans. Even Dick Enberg was having to explain as to why the roof was closed... clearly indicating befuddlement by the network officials.
Man, if Vince Young was on the Field, he would have taken that to the endzone instead of a 50+ yard field goal.
Whether down or not, this team has gotten too comfortable in making stupid mistakes...Jacoby needs to hold onto that ball.
