Wow 700 posts now on this game thread. I think most folks really do care about the Texans but are just real frustrated with 5 years of losing and last years number 1 pick. Hang in there guys, it's gonna be sweet when we win.
Didn't reference Jordan. I wanted Hakeem to be taken badly, didn't you? Real bad. If they had taken Sam Bowie I would have felt the same shock I felt when we took Mario. I like Mario, I really want him to develop when he is healthy again next season. Mario himself had no control over us passing on VY. That was plain football stupid. Period. And if the Rockets had taken Bowie over Dream I would have felt just as sick going to the game and watching Dream poster Bowie. If you believe that isn't a fair comparison, then after VY wins a superbowl we can revisit the take.
when ricky wasn't being suspended all the time, he was a very good player. he lead the nfl in rushing. also when ronny brown was out for a couple games, ricky ran for like 200 yards per game. ricky williams is the only person without a TV that i respect.
Where's your ? I can see you don't have offspring. It's the message he's sending that is my beef. If he wants to cheer his team on, fine, but don't knock on the opposing team. That's just "douche-ish", man. You know what I'm talking about. No way I would ever insult an opposing team. I am glad we disagree.
No. It's all about them not getting their Austin loverboy, Vince Young. You don't see any we should have taken Bush etc threads around here, do ya...
That's half the fun of going to games! You mean to tell me you've never boo-ed the Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz or LA Lakers?
Well, I have, yes, but not while my kids were there. I was taking an approach to how he's got a kid in front of him. If I took my kids or saw any kids nearby where I was, I wouldn't boo the other team. Honestly, I wouldn't. Just like in High School or College, you don't boo the opposing team... you show class so that your team is shown class at the opposing team's arena/floor/court/field/pitch, etc.
Vince Young just had the most incredible finish Texan fans have ever seen. It's not about Austin or UT anymore MEOWGI, it's about a player who was born a couple minutes from Reliant, passing on him, and having him humiliate the Texans organization. It's also everyone realizing how bad of a mistake it was passing on this guy. Almost everyone that wasn't a believer was converted on Sunday. Should we have taken VY or Bush? Of course, but the story of our season has been David Carr. Majority of Texan fans are calling for this guys head, that's why you are seeing the VY threads vs. Bush threads. We need a leader at QB and there is none better than VY IMO.
This brings to mind the words of the great one, Ric Flair: "Whether you like or you don't like it, GET USED TO IT! because that's way it's going to be from now on...(insert loud Woooooo! here). Anyway, this entire episode has snowballed on the Texans. VY is on the cover of this week's Sports Illustrated for the 5th time. And, while listening to Mike & Mike on ESPN radio while driving into work this morning I heard that he's now being seriously considered for NFL Rookie Of The Year. The hits just keep on coming...
Honestly I think at the end of the day THIS WAS THE MOST EXCITING TEXANS GAME I HAVE SEEN It had alot of drama Good Defense Atmosphere It was ELECTRIC!! Texans need more of them . . .they also need to be the ones providing the excitement not some guy on the other team Rocket River
