Well, I was out of pocket yesterday (except I got to see about 30 minutes of the game) and I don't have time to read the 30 threads and about 5,000 posts on the subject.

But VY kicked DC's ass yesterday. Then, I turned to the Broncos game a little bit and Cutler was looking pretty good, too. It's probably very immature, but I've got a serious case of QB envy right about now.

That said, the reason Vince Elway was able to score that winning run is because of one of the stupidest defensive calls I've seen in my lifetime. What were there, maybe 2 guys in the secondary? "Maybe if we run the whole damn defense at him, somebody'll catch him!!!!" Man, that 40 yds of wide-open field must have looked like a 21-once prime rib to VY. Stupid, stupid, stupid, game-losing call.

Yes, because he's got a right to curse because he's upset that a bad play happened, just like when the opposing team beats us with a last-minute play.

So... do your kids or your relatives play a sport? If they do, and you go watch their games? I hope you don't say "ooOoooh!" when someone dunks on your beloveds' team. I'd hate to sit next to someone like you "so-called Rockets' fan" at the Toyota Center. I won't do anything about it, but oh, man, if you're wearing Rockets' gear, you shouldn't. I never said it wasn't a good play or that Vince sucks. Enjoying YOUR TEAM's OPPONENTs' good plays is just dumb.

If anyone heard the Jim Rome show this morning he spent the first take ripping the Texans for what VY did to them- (Because they drafted Mario instead)

Not that we care about Rome but he laid it out there for Rome nation with plenty of freaking humiliation.

Of course after the draft he was making fun of us for not taking Bush and didn't really mention VY.

    he's obviously bandwagoning VY

not a big Rome fan myself- just a shame that we are being mocked as a franchise.

    Swoly,
people are not blind. because you are so hard core houston, if some ugly houston chick in Juwan Howard Jersey wanted you and Jessica Alba wanted you and wore a Kobe jersey and nothing else, I'd say to myself "what would Vernon Maxwell do in this situation?"

I hope that answers your question.

This thread is all about how fans (VY or otherwise) are taking this out on each other. This has nothing to do with this team. It has to do with us.

So you are saying that if the Lakers beat the Rockets tomorrow you will turn into a Lakers fan? What kind of Rockets fan are you?

This whole fiasco really makes me appreciate the Rockets not blowing their #1 picks. I understand as of late we haven't done well with picks later in the draft, but at least we get the #1's right (Sampson, Dream, Yao).

I am so glad I love the Rockets and not the Texans right now.....

I hate the TEXANS like no other right now...but in 2-5 years this team will be where it needs to be and if anything will go farther than VY's Titans...Why? cause they are building inside out...Before you even think about adding a better QB than Carr and RB you better sure up that god forsaken offensive line...you play to win a championship not just to have a good regular season record just look at the Colts..and teams that have a supeior offensive line and defensive line will win in the end....It's like building a house...you cheap out on the foundation and compensate that for nice in house furnishings, yea it might sell initially and look good but longterm you're going to have a huge problem if that foundation cracks...GO out this offseason Texans and find the best left tackle you can and continue to build inside out...I HATE THE TEXANS BUT THAT'S BECAUSE I LOVE THEM....

So, I guess it's safe to say that the Texans have hit a new "franchise-low" point. Good news, though: It's all uphill from here! ... I mean, it has to be, right?

Don't forget the Rockets backing down on their promise to draft the hometown boy, either.

Rashard sat while we took Dickerson, Drew and Turckan.

I think the Rockets would like that one back.
