You know as well as I do its probably best to leave the college loyalties out of this conversation, as all it serves to do is just piss more people off and rile sh*t up, when its not even really needed. But this game didn't have jack doodle to do with UT, so I'm not going to talk about them.
Oh my god. You CANNOT be this dense. I wasn't talking about UT Football. I was talking about the reaction of fans of one team towards the fans of another team when that team loses. It's seriously not that hard to understand.

truth is, you're (generally speaking) not smarter. so you got this pick right. do you always get your picks right? they made a decision they thought was best. so far, it's turned out to be ****. how many teams make the 'right' 1st pick?
seriously...this is an Aggie saying this!!! the damage this decision made for this franchise is just incredible. when guys like me who are 4th generation Houstonians...who have lived and died with the Astros, Rockets and Oilers...shelling out lots of money on them along the way...and who had season tickets the first 3 years for the Texans...start to find themselves having a hard time rooting for the "home" team...man, that's trouble. i realize i'm a very small sample size, but clearly i'm not alone.

Yeah man, I know all VY fans aren't acting out.. I figure most people on this BBS would be able to not take statements like that personally, since well, they're adults and able to recognize someone celebrating vs. someone gloating. My statements aren't aimed at most, but some. Namely not guys like SF, Madmax, and the like. Why they've taken issue with it I don't really understand. But one thing I told everybody I knew before this game. If the Texans lost, Carr's career here is done. I stand by that. Carr is done. Thanks for trying, David.
Flat wrong, most of us have been on top of this the day VY declared and every key day between (Carr extension, pro days, draft day, previous games, etc, etc). I even support Carr now and thought Carr was the right 1st pick, but that draft sure didn't have a Vince Young in it, what many of us have been saying all along.

True. In fact, that's exactly my point. I'm not a genius at football. Absolutely not a genius. Most people on this board probably know more about the NFL than I do. But I knew Vince Young was the future of the NFL. What I'm saying is there are those who DO know tons more about football than I do who wanted to PROVE it to me by saying there's no way VY will be great. Those people have egg on their faces.
I'm sorry, but you're falling off the Texans bandwagon because they had 5 ****ty years? Are you familiar with the Red Sox, who didn't win a title for 86 years? The White Sox, who didn't win for 97 years? Hell, even the Astros, who have never won a title?
