Well I was going off his recent trend, which clearly shows some improvement. Yes, he has had an awful april overall.
I agree and would sit Altuve once every 8-10 days and DH him at least 1-2 more times. But I would not sit him 2 out if 4 games, especially with an off day meaning he plays 2 games in 5 days.
Polanco has been carrying them. Glad we cheaped out and went with Rodgers! Who are we kidding though…Polanco would have been riding the bench for Dubon after a couple bad games to start the season.
He pitched fine. The Hr was a cheapie and he punched out 6 and walked 1. They hit the ball hard on him like 2 or 3 times is all.
He can’t afford to go 0-3 with 3 Ks if he wants to stay in the lineup. Not saying that’s a great reason but it’s the truth
The Astros have 7 position players who need to play nearly every day covering all but 2b and CF. Rodgers and Dubon are the current candidates for 2b. Neither of then have earned the job. Meyers and McCormick are the current candidates for CF. Neither has played well enough to earn the position so they will continue to share it. If neither of them hit, then the better defender will play 2/3 and the other 1/3.
one of the best team in the AL early in the season. taking 2 out of the 3, you'll take that every time. astros have faced Mets, Giants, Padres, and Tigers at home. 4 of 5 best teams in MLB based on record. you can't win all of them.
I'm pretty sure he's razzing you, if it's loser talk then we're all losers. See post #375 in this thread.
Actually Polonco has only played 5 games in the field because of a side injury. He also can't swing the bat from the right side so sits against LHP. The bat would be a GREAT fit for us, but it would also mean Yordan plays the field every day and that isn't good
I would agree if he wasn't being replaced by a guy who's OPS is 100 points lower than him AFTER that 0-3
Agree neither have necessarily earned it But Chas has 80 points of OB% on him and 100 points of OPS on him. You can certainly say "small sample size" for Chas if you want, but it's hard to argue that to this point that neither has been the better offensive player of the two.
