This lineup is bad without Abreu in it.

 

Meh, those guys are solid bench players. Cabbage is a potential 30/30 guy with defensive versatility who also hits lefthanded. Yes, he strikes out a lot but that’s why he’s on the bench. Singleton has elite power and draws a ton of walks, he just hits the ball on the ground too much. Salazar is a very good defensive catcher who makes a lot of contact and can play 1B and 2B in addition to C. Hummel is probably a AAAA player but he was excellent in AAA; he’s another guy with power and defensive versatility.

 

Astros lead the AL in hitting at .259. Incredible.

 

Luckily the defense is better without Abreu in it Actually keeps us in the game longer
