Vegas had a lineout with Lauer listed as the starter It went off the board a few minutes ago and is back up now with Blanco listed (obviously we are a lot bigger favs now)
Yesterday sucked, but a win today makes the series a positive on the season. Astros need dubs -- and Seattle's luck to wane. #90winsincoming .
He can't be recalled within 10 days and is still learning that position. Stop being dramatic. (and Dubon should be getting starts there as well).
He sure was part of it for his first 30 games, he had an OPS of .554 and was hitting cleanup most of the time.
My only guess is they want 1B reps from Loperfido. I think Singleton is capable of ~725 OPS with regular ABs with defense that's average at worst. .
Part of that was a management problem. Astros haven't done themselves many favors this season. Hader is warming, and butt-hurt Pressly still cashes them checks.
He was actually quite good playing everyday .787 OPS. 128 wRC+ 4/30-5/26. Maybe the plan is to start him vs all RHSP for the next 6 weeks hoping he can keep that up and flip him in a deal for a potential 2025 contributor?
If Pena/Meyers scuffling due to fatigue, makes sense to have Dubon spell each one here/there (along with Altuve). But really need them to get back to being above average bats as they were when everybody else scuffling (unless Chas has turned the corner).
what was the exit velo on that one? i feel it probably wouldn't get past 2B/SS had maeda didn't stop that one.
