I guess they are letting us know tight away that Singleton won’t be the replacement.

Shame, Singleton did really well while Abreu was down in florida.

I guess the opposing dominant lefty pitcher could be the reason lol

 

Singleton is not the answer if this team is really trying to contend this season.

 

I don’t know. His numbers were just fine while Abreu was out.

 

This guy is almost 30 and hasn't ever showed much of anything in the big leagues. In fact he's been terrible. He's been pretty good at AAA. Maybe he's a late bloomer, but I wouldn't get my hopes up.

He’s got negative WAR this season. His defense isn’t good and his base running is a negative as well.

I guarantee if Abreu was cut before the season and Singleton was given 1B, everyone would be complaining about him. Instead, Abreu was so bad that people actually became excited for him.

 

Yes but the only time Singleton was made the full time starter, he did well. Once Abreu returned and Jon’s playing time became spotty again, he understandably slumped.

 

I’ve wanted to see Dubon at first - my body is ready

 

If they lose, at least it won’t be with Abreu.
