Yordan, Abreu and Tucker have begun the season ready to hit.
Everyone else, not so much :(

Framber is ready to pitch. Not sure the other starters are even throwing well. o_O
    Another coffee?

    No worries. All is well.

All our starting pitchers have had issues with command and endurance. They will get better as the season progresses.

Batting will get better when 2 of our best contact hitters get healthy. We will literally be replacing Dubon and Hensley with Altuve and Brantley. I'm glad Bregman got out of his funk earlier this year. I think Pena is feeling the pressure of batting leadoff because you can tell he is trying to make something happen and chasing.

So it's better to get NOTHING on the off chance he will sign with a LOSER. You might be right. It would be very ANGEL like.

Garcia clearly was not 100% heading into the 6th. With the game being close it was a bad idea running him out there again but maybe the thought was that it was worth the risk in order to save an inning from the pen in this initial stretch of games.

For the issues the pitchers have had thus far, interesting to note that Houston is third in baseball in SwStr% so the pitchers are having quite a bit of success at least before they run out of gas and are left in to get shelled.

It's so early that I chose to watch the Rockets while listening to the Astros in the background on Friday. Doing the same thing today.
I've been more impressed with the blue cross catches made on our good swings and the umps being umps never facing consequences.

Betting odds still has us as the favorite at +600. Probably because Mattress Mac keeps propping up the odds with his crazy bets.

We should be starting Hensley most everyday at 2b and giving Diaz a shot at DH most everyday and an occasional start at C. See if he can show the promise he did in ST. You are pretty much stuck with Dubon as backup SS, but that really should be it for him.
