But he does get an abundance of borderline calls... which is what you were complaining about the Stros not getting. (and honestly, he has to... his stuff would not survive if he had to catch more of the plate).

Nah.. its just the general nature of this place. Springer goes 5-6 with 2 HR's, and there's polite applause (rather than threads being started regarding his ceiling, calling for him to be benched, calling him soft for blaming the lights, etc.). Likewise, Giles has somewhat earned the trepidation... but there will never be as much reaction with his success as there will be with his failure (pretty much the rule in general regarding all sports teams... BBS and talk radio far more active after losses than wins).
