Maysonet only got 4 chances to pinch hit and had far better overall numbers in far more plate appearances. I am sure his numbers would have gone down considerably as time went on but it's not like Kata is anything close to a good hitter. My guess is the decision was made because Kata can field more positions or at least has experience doing so. I don't think the decision was made based on offense.
Who does Hampton replace before Tuesday? I'd really like to see Moehler go, but not sure he will considering the team probably feels like they need to keep 6 starters, and don't want to call up Norris or Brazado.
The Giants just blew a 2 run lead in the bottom of the 9th. Tie game, 1 out, men on 1st and 2nd, Braun at bat. Edit: Brewers win.
Nice win today, Paulino had it going! And nice to see our bats attacking the opposing pitcher in the early innings.
awesome!!! Going to the games against the Pads this week and I am loving the feeling that they mean something. Lets get above .500 in that 4 game series!
Exactly man. That was disappointing because we were in it every single game, and all of them were one run affairs. Sigh. I was very surprised to see us pick up a win today though. Nice work stros
For anybody who missed the game, check out Bourn almost escaping this rundown: http://houston.astros.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=5276443 And here are all 9 of Paulino's Ks: http://houston.astros.mlb.com/media/video.jsp?content_id=5283055
Felipe pitched really well, didn't know he had it in him. Hope he keeps it up, it was fun to see some dominant pitching from the Astros with the rare showing of high run support. Cards, just like the Spurs. Houston division rivals getting the discounts this week. Wonder what's the special for next week?
