Yao Ming and the national team moved to Kunshan to prepare for today's (August 15) last game with Australia for the 5th position in FIBA Stankovic Continental Champion Cup.

Both Yao Ming and Wang Zhizhi were showing not very good form, in particular the latter. They were teamed as the starting team, but kept losing on position and rebounds to Zhang Songtao and Yi Jianlian on 5 versus 5 practice games. As a result, both were penalized by Head Coach Jonas Kazlauskas to have to run the full court to-and-fro for 4 times.

I noticed the whole team wearing Nike hightops, including Yao. Does that go against his Reebok contract?

Lolness! I'm not too worried that Yao hasn't returned to form yet, after all, there are sitll three months until the start of the NBA season. He must get back to shape by that time.

    That sounds about right.

Australian Eastern Time (Sydney, Brisbane) is 2 hours in front of China Eastern Time (Shanghai, Beijing).

Would be interesting to see Bogut vs Yao tonight. If Yao can shut down Bogut tonight then China would win the game, and vice versa. Both teams are full of rookies.

BIG YAO IS CLUTCH! I Finally got the CCTV5 stream going and was able to catch that last play. Looks like Yao is getting better with each game that he plays.

Every time Yao rested, Australia closed in on the score. If Yao will to play more minutes, the score will not be that close. Well, at least we can say China can't win without Yao.

    China VS Australia ,63:61 ,over.
Yao scored 21 PTs and 10 REs,and when the last time,61:61,Yao scored the last 2 PTs,and make China win.

Thanks! :) Sounds like Yao was in great form today... 21 pts, 10 rbs, and the winning basket in only his second or third game back is pretty impressive.
