    Not sure about that. But from this photo, maybe the fans chanted out his name to trigger him waving to the crowd.

    Definitely he will be better known in China now that he is Yao Ming's team mate than when he was with the Grizzlies.

    That is disappointing. I was expecting him to play Monday.

    So, does anyone know when is Yao's first game on US tv?

    So despite not being able to play in the game with the US team, Yao Ming and Wang Zhizhi left with the national team for Guangzhou this morning from Beijing.

    Will the US-China game be on TV in the US? If so, what time Eastern Time? I know there is a 12 hr time difference between Eastern US and Guanzhou.

    Man, I sure hope that Cable TV will air the game..............but for some odd reason they love showing golf on TV.

    Just turned on the TV, saw Team USA practicing in Guangzhou, and then the announcement ended. I just love coincedences. Damn, Cable doesn't have the game listed........

    I always said Yao played like a slower, less athletic version of Olajuwon and everyone always called me crazy. The fadeaway jumper, the baseline spin to the hoop, you see it in both of them.

    You're comparing him to Olajuwon, the best C in the past 25 years. :confused:

    Even if Yao is 'slower' and 'less athletic', if Yao has Olajuwon-istic traits, then I believe he can bring us a championship :D :D

    Man, we are talkin about, Hakeem Olajuwon, the best center in the history of NBA basketball here...

    Still, Yao can somewhat compensate for it with his amazing size and height. Now, if only...

    It will be on ESPN2 at 9:30 PM EDT on Monday evening. The game will not be shown live, if you want that you'll have to watch CCTV5. Although if Yao is not playing I'm not so keen on staying up to watch China get crushed. That kind of thing can wait until the next day.
