Got a little "fluff" piece from Maggard in my inbox today...looks like he took some (deserved) jabs at Briles:

The 2007 Cougar Football season is over. For those of you who attended the bowl game, thank you for being there. It was a great turnout by Cougar alumni, students and fans. The loss was obviously a disappointment to all of us as we expected to win. However, under some rather difficult circumstances over the past month, the team and the coaching staff did a good job. I will not go into all of what has transpired these past several weeks, but I give credit to our players who acted with real maturity when faced with uncertainty brought about by changes out of their control. Chris Thurmond deserves kudos for the difficult job of pulling the team together and preparing for the bowl game on short notice. I thank all of the assistants who stayed the course and met the commitment of coaching for a full season – in my view, the only right thing to do.

Really don't care what he thinks...I'm just happy Maggard said it....Briles screwed the team over when he left (and took his coaches with him).

You must be drunk. UH has produced more Texas legends than Baylor can ever dream of.

Right now...in terms of college football....UH >> Baylor. I don't see how that can even be debated.

And he screwed the team over when he left right before the bowl and took the only other coaches that could run the offense with him.

Yeah, but you're not part of the success of the Big 12. It's like being the Tampa Bay Rays in the AL East. It's great you're there, but you don't do anything but take up space.

ok i see where your going. He should of at least coached the last game with his coaches. However Baylor has a higher ceiling simply bc of the big 12 conference.

I'm sorry buddy, but I just don't see that. Since joining the Big 12 conference in 1996, Baylor has held a 13-43 record in regular season play, the worst record in the Big 12 South. I think Baylor would be better off in another conference like the Sun Belt.

Yes, Baylor is a better place for him. But only because it's in the Big12...now whether or not it belongs in the Big12 is another argument.
