This game has to be a coming out party for that godly "New England" like offense we heard so much about through camp. If not we lose.
I am hoping this is the game Braxton Miller comes out and makes his mark. I would like to see lots of rub routes and physical WR play. Those are the keys to moving the ball on offense.
Feeling like we will probably lose 23-10. At this point I would just like to see Brock show some improvement.
Understand all the comments such as this (not trying to single one user out) but I feel we will do better than this. Our defense isn't top 3-5 without JJ but I still see us doing pretty good. I think it'll be a touchdown game. I see this being the game Hopkins comes up big only because it makes "NO" sense for him to. Texans never make things simple. Brock throws 250+ 2tds Hopkins 100+ 1TD Lamar 90+ first td Mercilus 1 sack Texans 24-17
They're going to need the defense to score some points to get to 24. They needed a PR touchdown to get to 27 against an inferior defense at home. I can see them scoring 17 points; I hope they are able to hold the Vikings to 14 or less. Vikings offense will score at least 1 touchdown. The Texans offense has to not give them any more points from turnovers.
I think it's more likely to be a big day for Fuller than for Nuk. The Vikings can be beat deep, it might be one of the only places actually. If Fuller catches the ball, he could have a long TD reception. As to Mercilus getting a sack....it's going to be tough without Watt AND Clowney taking all the attention away from him. I think he could really struggle this year without an extra pass rusher helping give him good looks.
Hopefully we can run a nice Braxton Miller pitch out wide and have him toss it back to a streaking Fuller. One can dream right? Brax has an arm on him.
We'll be in the end zone about 35 rows up. Probably won't see any Blair Walsh kicks since we'll be behind the goal post instead of wide left.
Just out of curiosity, what's the typical tailgate situation up there? Other than pickled fish and beer, of course.
I just want a close game...a 31-6 ass whooping is something that I dont want to witness...just give me good competitive football. I dont expect to win this game, but it would be a HUGE step for this team. Minnesota is for real...and winning against them puts us in the top 4 in the AFC. Just dont get your ass kicked and I'll be content.
I'm guessing that's just to give Rudolph and Diggs extra rest on a short week. I don't recall either of them picking up any injuries.
