The Texans are gonnabe ass next year too. It's gonna take a gm and coach at least 2 years to get this team to be competitive. There's a lack of talent across the board.
We needed this season to get rid of obrien. Imagine if we still had dhop, obrien would never be fired lol I think it can be a quick turnaround with the right hires
I agree. There were about 8 games were we lost close. With the right coaching, it could be different.
Burn it to the ground now lol If the right hires are made in the off-season, we can turn it around. We don’t need the defense to be Top 5, but it can’t be the worst in the league in multiple categories. Deshaun had his best statistical season ever. That’s great. He needs to take more ownership of this offense, however. He was let down by a lot of his teammates on that side of the ball.
If he stays too long he’ll become the villain. The fans will turn on him and start claiming that if he was truly Elite then he could drag this sh!tshow of an organization to the playoffs. Some of these dumb asses on this board have already started this BS. At what point does the organization wake up, pull their heads out of their collective asses and hire football people to build the team the right way. If I was Deshaun I wouldn’t wait my whole career to find out.
He’s already taken this franchise to the playoffs largely based on his individual brilliance. That also wasn’t really good enough for this fan base as everybody knew the “better” team would win those games (albeit they did beat a good Bills team last year). It’s still early enough in his career, which has already reached elite-level performance, to find a coach and personnel gatherer to make it work. Last off season perhaps would have been even better, given that its now known that Deshaun would make this leap regardless of the coaching, personnel, or weapons surrounding him.
In my opinion by firing Billy they've done just that. Two years too late but they have begun the process of rectifying the situation and doing right by Deshaun. And I don't think the fans will turn on Deshaun, everyone knows how good he is and that there is a major deficiency in talent on the roster, especially on the defensive side of the ball. If the defense is halfway decent and the o line plays with some balls this team can be in the playoffs again next season Lol
