http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/40686517/ Finnegan plans to apologize before the game. Yo Dre, I'm sorry you beat my ass. No hard feelings?
I just noticed this morning that the Texans are no longer on pace to have the worst pass defense in the history of the NFL. The record belongs to the '95 Falcons who gave up 283.8 yards per game. The Texans are currently giving up 279.9 yards per game. They were giving up about 330 yards per game in their first 5 game but have given up about 250 per game since. Not great, but better.
Glover Quin looks like he's playing better to me. Kareem still looks lost. The route that Boldin ran that found him wide open streaking down field...where he dropped what would have likely been a TD...yeah, you should not be THAT open running THAT route.
The defense Monday night looked worlds better than the atrocious display we saw up until Rusty Smith. Blitzing effectively, the line engulfing the run, the DBs mostly treading water. Jason Allen and Mark Anderson have both been improvements (sad, considering both weren't good enough to stick with their original teams). Too bad this couldn't have been the crew all year, 7-6 could have been where we are. But only losers dwell on the could have beens and what ifs. Instead, we'll probably see a slight downturn now that Limited Mario has become No Mario.
I agree. He looks good enough to stick around as a nickelback. Not great, not even really good, but improved.
Actually, that was 56-year old Derrick Mason that had torched Jackson, only to drop it. Quin is playing a lot better and I have no problem retaining him as the starter.
Much like anyone who can run in a straight line. If KJ just can't roll his hips and gun it downfield what exactly made him nfl ready? I know every team has their corner that all the fans hate, lord knows we in Houston have been hating cornerbacks for years now, but KJ has got to be the worst. There's not even any rawness or overwhelming athletic ability to give the "potential" nod to.
I posted this once before, but here's something Lance Zierlein posted on Chron.com shortly after the draft. Quin showed some promise last year and it took him awhile to find it again this season. Right now Kareem doesn't even look as good as Fred Bennett did his rookie year. You just have to hope he gets better but the quote above doesn't make me too confident about that.
Glover Quin has played a lot better lately, in fact he played great against the Ravens. I think he is fine as one of the starters at corner, but they still need another guy, Jackson remains pathetic.
Does anyone think BUD . . the HATED BUD is telling the Tennesee Media they on the right track??? They having a DOWN YEAR? I have not heard much out of Bud actually [then again I am not in that market] but I just get a large sense that Jeff Fisher is NOT safe. Evidently you seem to get that feeling too. I hope Kubiak isn't either. ALSO, I don't think I would like Jeff Fisher on the Texans either. Rocket River
Don't give Bud a pass...he did stupider crap than this when he was here in press conferences. Making all kinds of "we're almost there" and other nonsensical comments. I was just listening to a radio show on the way back from the courthouse where the host was going on and on about how McNair was turning into Adams in many ways. Callers were calling in calling him Bob Adams.
