You hope he takes it upon himself to learn from his mistakes, and work his ass off to get better.

Its not like this may be the best (or worst) he ever gets. He had one of his first real opportunities to show what he could do today as a WR. Had some WTF moments, but also made some pretty darn good plays (with that TD catch being the best, even if it was questionable due to the insane NFL rules).

I never bough into him as solely a punt returner... and he may, in fact, need to be benched doing that in favor of Walter (if he's healthy enough for it). But, he may just yet emerge as the deep threat that he's capable of being.

Agreed. His playmaking ability is undenieable....I just have questions about his mental toughness.

I'm also a little worried about Slaton. He just seems scared...and he suddenly can't hang on to the football.

I'm definitely questioning Slaton's "bulking up" this offseason. Not sure he needed it- we aren't asking him to run over anybody.

But we'll see the next two weeks against some easier defenses. These were two great run defenses we played.

Slaton undeniably has happy feet. You see him try to juke as soon as he gets the ball, as he has no conviction, is no longer moving piles (like he did last year), and that has now transcended to him not being able to hang onto the ball.

Granted, a component may be that we've faced two pretty decent defensive lines the last two weeks... but its something that will need to be improved in practice and by going over game film.

And, if he indeed is too intimidated to perform right now, Chris Brown looks ready to step it up a notch now that he's healthy.

Have to admit, not a fan of the extra weight at all.

Oh ya, and the Jets kept the Patriots down too.

After seeing highlights of them blitzing their QB, I don't feel too bad about our loss last week.

    Jets are looking GOOD.

(it was still a ****ty loss though).

Jets defense is definitely for real.

I thought it was comical when Gusgasm and Tasker said, "Man... I hope we get to call round 2 of this battle!"

I guess nobody told them that round 2 will be a MNF game on ESPN.

These announcers really are as good as the matchups they call (and the amount of viewers CBS/FOX perceives will be getting the game)... they were horrible today.

I was wrong, I didn't think the Texans had a chance against the Titans. Looks like the Jets are for real, I don't know about the Texans. They certainly looked much better, but too early to get on the bandwagon. This team still has issues. Nevertheless, great win.

Wow. I just realized the Titans defense didn't get a single sack or turnover on us. Incredible.

Air tight game from the offense.

Big ups to the OL, especially with Pitts down.

Granted, Gus Johnson does sound like he is having a orgasm after every big play, but you got to admit he gets you so pumped up. My favorite thing he said last year when we played the Titans was "Andre Johnson...Ballplayer!"

the 0 sacks and 0 turnovers is kinda misleading, Schaub was smacked around a few times, hurried a few, and Slaton fumbled a couple of times that we recovered and that Jacoby punt snafu...well rules are rules but that still makes me wonder about JJ

the point is that we've still got a long ways to go, win aside

honestly Jacoby shouldn't be returning punts anymore. We could excuse these drops he has if he was a good punt returner. But he's not even that, he's dropped the ball way too many times on those punt returns...like 3 or 4 times now in his career maybe more...that's just too much when you fair catch it. It's like missing a layup on a fast break....Pros just don't do that.

Eh but I forgot to add, he had a great game. I think the Texans need to eliminate a WR or two. We're stacked there. I'd like to see Jacoby replace Andre Davis. It would be nice if we could trade Andre for a pick.

...So I live in Nashville, caught the game locally even though I have NFL ticket ...Of course raw emotion...I went to work on my day off just to show up the Texans shirt I had on wearing it proud...Trust me, the whole town thinks it's the end of the world. I love it!

One thing I noticed about the Texans defense...We seemed to play better by spreading the D-line and letting the linebackers key on the run...If you take away a couple of complete bomb runs that CJ did on good Titans blocking, we stuffed him in the backfield...I was impressed more times than not...

Now count me in the not too concerned about Slaton...Yes 1.9 ypg is not gonna cut it, but this can be worked out. Slaton showed too much skills last year...Just let's NOT have anymore weight gain programs...

Super Mario keeps proving his top shelf worth...Andre Johnson is just simply the best and is on pace to have more TD's along with the top shelf rec. yards...Owen is great...Matt has the tools with tools...

On defense again, I have to say our LB's played tremendous as a unit...Cushing and Ryans compliment very well. Besides the aforementioned bomb runs, we had the run in check (especially in the 2nd half)

Great win...FUN, FUN game to watch...Yes things to work on, but I feel much, much better!

I'm still on my "happy high" from this game.

Still full of smiles. Great game.

It was so much fun to watch after we got back into it and tied it at 21.

    Fun game.
