Dude had SEVEN completions for 87 yards. He didnt beat us today. The Texans (Carr) beat themselves today.
This shouldn't be surprising to anyone...Carr has been like this all f'n year...Stats smats...Sage did great, but like Carr, he doesn't play defense... I'm glad he got benched, but, I think Carr will start next week...He shouldn't but he gets paid way too much money not too... oh yeah, obligatory we should have drafted Vince comment...
Not a sore loser. I am a UT fan buddy so I will never hate on Vince but to say Vince 1 Houston 0 is stupid. We shot ourselves in the foot over and over today with turnovers, penalties, and dropped balls. Remember what happened right before the punt return for the TD? AJ drops a pass that would have gotten us a first down.
i'll give him credit for the running TD. he didn't really do much too other than that. the throwing TD was a blown coverage, they might ahve scored anyways b/c the Titans were deep in Texan territory. the refs did take away a 1st down that would ahve sustained the drive at the end on that bootleg. We literally GAVE the Titans two touchdowns. CArr was total crap, quite disappointed in his performance. i'm saying this objectively, VY wasn't the main reason the Titans won.
Vince had a nice TD run. Pretty good run for the TD. 7/15 87 yards and a TD.... those stats aren't AMAZING or anything so I'm not going to get all excited, but he did get the win. He also didn't throw an INT, so I'll give him credit for that. All along, I think the part of his game that people questioned was his passing game and his passing stats aren't all that amazing, but it is also his rookie year. I haven't seen all of his games or anything, but I know some of that is likely due to the talent of the team around him. I know he has made some solid passes, just has to get more of those and that will come with time most likely. When his completion % etc go up and he has some big passing games, that will quiet down some people and they will give him more credit, but you can't expect people to praise his passing game, etc with an 87 yard game. The stats aren't spectacular yet, but as he gets some experience and the talent of the team improves, the passing and all should look better. Also, can't judge everything on stats. He's a rookie in a tough situation because the team isn't that great, but he has managed to have some good plays and should improve from week to week. It'll be a few years before you can judge him fully, but he should keep getting better.
vince young didn't have to throw the ball alot so his passing stats aren't great. when you keep getting the ball on your side of the field its gonna be like that. also, let's not forget that the refs took away a 27 yard completion that would have turned his stats to over 50% and over 100 yards, on a really nice throw down the field.
Realizing that if Carr is part of the problem that Reggie Bush wouldn't have fixed anything. Reggie Bush is better off in New Orleans as a piece of a pretty decent team.
