If we didn't have Schaub we'd probably have some has-been like Hasselbeck and be FAR worse off. People should count their blessings that we actually have a starting quality, above average QB and aren't one of the many teams grasping at straws at the position.

When you can dominate with the running game, and he line plays well Schaub can excel. Most of us criticizing Schaub are not talking about games like this.

We are talking about games against playoff teams and games in which we need a "game winning" 4th quarter drive to win the game. If he can play like this (and Kubiak have this team prepared and executing with proper play calling) in the playoffs, then by all means he is good enough.

So by that logic, you want Schaub to win games where the running game is getting stuffed, and the line is not playing well.

I'm sorry, but most QB's do not do excel in that situation. The ones that do are clearly better than Schaub, and there's no chance in us getting one of those guys.

Awfully quiet after a beat down. Both sides of the ball did extremely well today.

Good job. This offense is gonna look good with AJ back.

Troy Nolan should be able to hold it down but it would be nice to get Manning back at some point.

Foster had almost 100 more yard total, than the entire Titans team.

Our D held the Titans to 148 total yards today. That has to be a Texans record.

Yes, I want Schaub to be able to take advantage of teams that overplay the run, is that too much to ask?

Some people have low expectations, I want greatness.

That's not entirely on him. That's also up to the play-calls from Kubiak, the O-line's ability to block the rush, and the recievers we do have to run routes well and get open.

He's not Aaron Rodgers back there in terms of elusiveness (or anything, for that matter). If the defense gets push/pressure, Schaub is not a great QB.

considering Schaub is one of the best, if not the best, in the playaction game I have no idea what more you want. By definition, his best attribute is to take advantage of the defense over-pursuing the run.

True. Schaub is a very good QB who can play great but he is not, and will not be, considered a "great" QB. That term gets tossed around too much and not accurately enough.

Tell ya what though, you can tell how important Mario Williams is,....there was no pressure today on the Titans at all....

Then we agree. The is issue that in the playoffs, most teams DO get a push/pressure on the QB. To win there, you have to make plays in the face of it, keep them so off-balance with play calling they can't bring pressure or think too much, or have an O-line that just dominates.

So far the O-line has for the most part been dominant against bad teams, but not as consistent against good teams and the play calling is hit and miss.

Essentially, everything has to "fall into place" for this team to win in the playoffs.

But he folds under pressure. If a QB cant make plays under pressure, or when the game is on the line, He will never be Great. He can be as good as he wants to be, but never will be elite until he can show consistency under pressure

This. When we go up against the bigger, better teams it's gonna be blatantly obvious how much we're gonna miss Mario.
