I am depressed for the rest of the day. I want to go to sleep and wake up thinking none of this really happened.
My biggest concern right now is Duane Brown. I think he is the biggest reason why the OL looks as bad as it does - he just seems overwhelmed. As far as the rest of the line, they might need a couple more games to get adjusted to the zone blocking scheme.
I think kubiak is deliberately trying to injure Schaub to avoid the QB controversy. Seriously though, Sage should have served as the replacement in the second half. Andre, mario, and ryans, all had good games. It just seems that when one thing goes wrong, it accumalates into disaster. The team didn't look the same after that horrible spot for the first down.
sage should have been the starter by the mid season of david's last season. this new regime has done a good job on personnel, however I think they didn't have to go after schaub
Football Gods we've suffered enough. We live in football crazy state and city. Our old team left us years ago we we've been without joy for most of our new teams existance. We need to celebrate a winner! Oh, and I'm going to next Sunday's home opener, can you please make sure hurricane Ike doesn't ruin it.
Yeah, its not like Schaub had that much more promise and talent than Sage. Think about what could have been with those second round picks and that huge amount of $$$$$$$$$$$$$ we gave Schaub.
As a fan, of course you wanted this game and thought we had a shot at winning. But if you're able to look at it without bias, there is no way you could've expected us to go into Pittsburgh and win in the season opener. They are a premiere team in the league, two years removed from a championship with many of the same pieces. Not to mention a tough place to play for a Texans team that wasn't good on the road last year. I'm not too upset that we lost...it was too be expected. I am upset though at how we were absolutely manhandled up front. Both of our lines were absolutely abused...I could see it happening with the o-line, but our d-line should be able to stack up with just about anyone now with what we've got invested in it. Mario had his day but overall the Steelers had their way with them. How long before Richard Smith and company get put on the hot seat? And for those pointing the finger at Schaub, give me a break. He made a couple of mistakes but he was facing intense pressure on third downs and tried to make a play. Carr would've taken the sack and blamed it on the line. Now if we lose next week...no excuses.
