Which is why it was dumb to rely on the defense to save the win. It's like they played that last drive thinking if we don't get the 1st down we'll just punt. I'm sure a good QB won't be able to march down the field with ease one more time.

I understand saying "I need to get better". But if you say that all the time, especially after repeating previous mistakes, then maybe you've just maxed out your ability and are simply incapable of "getting better". If you know you need to get better but you never do, then maybe you just kind of suck.

To be fair, I do think O'Brien is a good coach in general. The offense took off once he got a capable QB. But he's not good in close and late situations and I'm not sure he ever will be. He certainly doesn't have the "killer instinct" that his QB has.

    This.

The offensive play calling was great all game. To blame obrien for one play is stupid.

Blame the defense for playing like ass the entire game.

exactly. i guess some people are a little slow to get it. theyre complaining about the defense being shitty. but fail to recognize hou gave the ball back to wilson to rely on it to win the game. doesn't really take a genius to figure it out something is wrong there

Yes. The defense did suck, but that's why you don't go super conservative and trust the defense to win you the game. Not a super hard concept to understand.

Well imagine this. u are driving the car very well the whole trip, the accelerator works fine, the brakes r shtty, u r about to have a successful trip, but then there's a massive hole at the end of the road w/ a ramp? What idiot would rely on shtty brakes when he could just accelerate? Same concept why would p***y ass headcoach rely on defense when he has the savior Watson?

Also, Blue did have that one really sick downfield block, so it's completely justifiable to play Blue over Foreman for blocking purposes alone.

no, your offense is now your best defense. If your offense has a shot to convert 3rd down, give it to watson. Don't do what the seahawks were expecting and wanting you to do. watson converts that 3rd down, the game is over. Nothing seattle can do. trading a miller up the middle for a timeout is worthless when the defense is that bad. Ride or die with watson. He is coaching the team like he still has a top 5 defense.

When the one play is to end the game with an offense that has been amazing? The defense has been decimated BOB knows that, we know that, everyone knows that. Why would you put it in the hands of the defense?

The Texans got cautious and blew the game in New England. This happened again in Seattle. That's on O'Brien. It's just not good enough. Coach Turtle loses another signature game.

I agree nothing is guaranteed to be long term. However I didn't think they would win either game at the end because of their coaching staff, disappointments outside of QB and iniuries.

    Watson is a monster.
