How familiar does this sound (from Simmons' mailbag): "Speaking of concussions, I think I have one because I told someone this week, "Forget about covering, I think Houston can WIN in New Orleans!" It's becoming an annual September tradition: The Texans sucking me in against my better judgment and burning me, then me angrily picking against them for the next 13 weeks while running out of new ways to make fun of Gary Kubiak. Let's just make it Week 3's upset special: Houston 34, New Orleans 31."
I doubt it. I love them both and want them both to be ready for playoffs....Unless one of them gets traded for a star CB to play opposite Jonathan Joseph.
Seriously why do people even care what these so called "experts" predict? Honestly I'm picking the Saints to win too, but the games are played on the field not paper. Chris Berman only knows how to read from a cue card and make weird noises. He's kinda like my dog
You're dog can read cue cards?! As for listening to the predictions, I like to hear why they make their picks etc. But like you said, anything can happen....that's why they play the game. Texans 34 Saints 21
We need all the help we can get. miketripletttp Mike Triplett #Saints injury report: LB Jonathan Vilma doubtful after not practicing Friday.CB Tracy Porter questionable after practicing on limited basis fazende_wvue sean fazende Saints injury report: Vilma doubtful, Porter questionable, Johnson , Casillas, Harper all probable Vilma is like the heart of their defense similar to what Ryans is to us.
Ditka's got it out for the Saints. He picked the Bears to beat them last week and I have no clue how he expected that to happen with that one dimensional offense (give it to Forte and pray).
I love reading Saints forums and how they keep citing some of the reasons we failed last year and how we folded after 2 games, etc etc. Yet they seem to forget they got bounced of out the playoffs by the SEAHAWKS that didn't even have a winning record and could go winless this season. Hilarious
Why are people upset at analysts picking the Saints to beat us? Is it that offensive to lose on the road against one of the elite teams in the league? Playing in "who dat" nation is incredibly challenging. We should lose this game and chances are we will...what's important is how competitive we are. The fact that there are ANY analysts that are picking us to win this game shows how far we have come.
Looks like Brandon Harris will see the field for the first time this season. Excited to see what he can do. Quoted from his rookie diary: http://www.houstontexans.com/news/a...rip-home/5551ea40-e346-45b7-9075-cec4f1bd6cdf
Dang, Butler is out with another injury? Season ending injury to his tricep from a freak play in practice? How did I miss this news. Hope Brown can stay healthy this season.
Are there any free agent OT available? Who was that guy that was just cut by the Cowboys? He played in Wade's system.
I tore my left medial meniscus, also. I tore it all the way through, when I was a sophomore in high school. Luckily, I was in great shape (I actually think I tore it doing a deadlift).I was working out five days a week, about two hours a day. I kept working through it (actually maxed at squats a week or so later....did like 500....some of the worst pain ever.), but it was tough to go up stairs for about three weeks. I was too stupid to say anything, and just kept playing and lifting through it. I actually played my final two years of high school with it, no real problems. Once I quit working out, I had major problems. I under up finally going to the doctor, they found the meniscus tear and were questioning an acl tear. They scope it, and the only problem I've had since is a little instability(which leads me to believe something is actually up with my acl). I guess what I'm getting at is that I'm sure it was painful, especially making cuts at an NFL level. Being in great shape and having the strength in that knee probably helped a lot though. Either way, Foster is a man's man. Oh yeah, don't listen to DaDakota about Foster's injury. Sorry, Dd.
