LOL. That's probably why Jethro Franklin (former D-line coach) got fired a year before the rest of the defensive staff. Sucks to lose Butler...we are in real trouble if Winston or Brown goes down.
Whaaaat?? You think last year's team was possibly good enough to go 10-6?! With THAT defense?? For all the bad decisions that he's made, he's the also the reason why this team has a top 5 offense, and that's not something you can take away. It wasn't Kubiak who told Quin to bat the ball directly into the Jags' receiver's hands....or told Jason Allen to bite on a play-fake that allowed Braylon Edwards to scamper down the sideline....or told Schaub to bounce the ball of Andre's foot. Kubiak's play-calling got us into position to take the lead in all of those games....it was the defense, and the lack of any leeway in the 4th quarter that doomed us. Am I deflecting the blame from him? Absolutely not. But to imply that another coach could have gotten that EXACT same team last year to 10-6 is just silly IMO.
I respect Dungy, but that's the only way you stop a no-huddle offense really. The defense is sucking wind far too often on those types of drives.
Hahaha, Dungy "We NEVER did it, but everyone else was doing it" Come on now guy, like you would really admit to having your own players fake being hurt, there's 0 chance it didn't happen 2-3 times at least every season he was there.
yea...I have 2 of em, they are in the tween age of back talking and drama over hair brushes. - woe is us. . .
For you and the other guy, I have no problem with how the game with the Dolphins was handled. It was the 2nd game with the Colts last year which is still the shining example of how Kubiak "Kubiak's up" by trying to get too cute. As others have pointed out, the game management(time outs, challenges) have been a big concern. Granted last year was Kubiak's best in terms of not doing something stupid(Colts II not withstanding)....
Edit: Auto playing video. Preview of the Houston and Saints game from NFL Films. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-previews/09000d5d82278e14/Week-3-Texans-vs-Saints-Preview EDIT #2. Still auto-played even in spoiler. So here's just the link.
Posting to move it off this page. So the Lions beat a weak TB team that didn't use Blount, and a KC team that's legitimately in the running for 0-16. But when ESPN compares the 2-0 teams, Houston is not for real but Detroit is.
Lol that video said we are NO's toughest matchup yet. Guess we're better than the defending champs already.
Well, our defense is technically ranked higher than GB's right now. And of course we're better than the champs. We are obviously the BEST TEAM EVER! The next dynasty in the NFL is coming from Houston, and its starting this season. NFL voice over guy knows what's up.
The X Factor is gonna be... what its been the past 2 games: Starting the game off getting the ball to our playmakers through the air (Andre has been targeted a lot more.. im loving this), this will be especially important against a high powered NO team, if we can keep it close then we can separate with our running game late in the game like we did against the Dolphins.
Losing Butler could really hurt. If one of the tackles goes down the texans have some serious problems.
