And Dungy apparently "learned" from this and built not just one but TWO Super Bowl teams... and you can make a case that last year's Colts (also a Super Bowl team) was basically his as well.

In the end, I'd rather have Dungy's overall resume (including Minnesota and Tampa) than Gruden... who's "aggresive" approach finds him in semi-retirement currently.

Oh no doubt who the better coach is. But it was a lesson that Dungy had to learn to go on to success later. My point was the same basic guys with a coach who played to win instead of "not to lose" was able to win a chip. Do I think 2006 Dungy could have taken 2002 Tampa to the Super Bowl?? Absolutely. Not that it matters much.

A lot of fun reading all of you guys "calling out" Kubiak. Rackers misses the kick and all you jerkwads spend a week whining about how Kubiak "shouldn't have given Washington such a short field!". Instead he plays it safe, forces Washington to go on a long drive, and the Redskins show why he was right. Texans gets the ball back 30 yards from FG range and ends up winning. It's awfully easy to go for everything when you're sitting on your couch playing Madden, much less so when it's reality. Kubiak played the odds and ended up winning.

As for guys like chapman, GlenRice, v3.0, and everyone else who's spent the last 40 pages whining about Kubiak and the Texans, here ya go:

I read a thread on there, and alot of posters were saying Kubiak showed no class icing the kicker (which ended up being the right move) and were giving Shanny props for having class by not doing it...

Hate to take attention away from Kube's call, but how about that Mario Williams? What a monster. Great to see him playing at such a high level.

Huge, huge game. So many guys came up big today..Schaub for one, then secondary game balls go to Pollard (Momentum swinger, blocked FG and blowing up that end around), Mario (3 sacks), the receiving corps as a whole

But yea, I said this last week..Mario looks more vocal out there and is really taking on that role of a leader. He's going to have a monster year

Yeah, but didn't he do that exact thing against the Raiders two years ago to start the "icing" with the timeouts?

    Karma is a b****.

Can't believe "Jets-Dolphis" gets the Sunday Night gig over "Texans-Cowboys" next week. It was a good matchup before the season... but seeing how events have transpired now, I bet it gets even more interesting.

This nation likes to see the supposed "powerful" teams fall flat on their ass like the Cowboys.

Haha...saw this during the game and was cracking up.

As for the game, it wasn't pretty but I'll take it any day of the week. How many times have we seen this team fold in a pressure situation? To come back 17 down and on the road is a huge accomplishment. The call by Kubiak was risky but it worked out, Shanahan made the call we wanted Kubiak to make and it lost them the game. Gotta give credit when it's due.
