Nothing would please me more than to see the Texans start off 3-0 at the expense of the Cowgirls starting off 0-3. But it's going to be a shooting match next week. The 'Girls will be out for blood. I think it's a close one, but the Texans pull it out.

    Texans - 27
    Cowgirls - 21

    Shush it, dillhole.

If Kubiak knew 52 was too much, he could have called a running play on 3rd down to eek out a couple extra yards. He called a rollout play putting it in the hands of Schaub and Andre his best players to his credit, but its also a call that had pick-6 potential having a slow Schaub throw it on the run to the sideline.

Cowboys are going to come in hungry and desperate next week. Kind of scared about that.

He's a legit returner. Its more a credit to Washington's kickoff coverage. Texans didnt give him any blocks, their kicker placed kicks in the right locations, coverage guys did their job swarming down the field giving him no running room.

My favorite part of the game was watching that scrub Philip Buchanon try and cover Andre Johnson on 4th and 10.

Cant believe we traded two high level draft picks for that bozo back in the day.

Well, after going back and reading 15+ pages in this thread, the general consensus is F**K Kubiak. Well, I'm not gonna lie, I was pissed at his decision to punt, but looking back it was one hell of a call. He knows his kicker better than any of us do. He's the one who chose to keep him over Brown, so don't think for one second he didn't do his homework on Rackers. In another thread someone posted the stats of Rackers when kicking 50+ yards, and he made 49% of them. So you can't blame Kubiak for choosing to punt.

Now with that being said, it was a ballsy called that paid off. You can hate on Kubiak all you want, but he sure does have the balls to make HIS decisions. Thank God some on here are not the coach of the Texans.

I give him props for the time out. But I still feel like the other things were stupid. I was tracking the game in my FF thread on another site, and everyone else (mainly folks not in Houston) thinks he was playing not to lose. He just does that a lot, enough as to where when he goes ultra conservative I'm not suprised. Our coach needs to grow a pair.

Edit: And also props to the coach for keeping his players into it when they were down. That's not the Texans of old.

Texans WR Andre Johnson will have an MRI on his injured ankle on Monday. Johnson hurt his ankle late in the 3rd quarter but returned and finished the game.

^^ haha I saw matt do that with his eyes to he looked possessed

That and the Redskins were missing their best left tackle. He had more faith in their defense getting a stop by pinning them deep than he did with Rackers hitting a 50 + yard FG. He also had little faith in his defense being able to stop McNabb for only 30 yards (had Rackers missed).

Its a gamble... but to crucify Kubiak over that call and call him completely clueless is a bit of a stretch. There was definitely reason to second-guess either decision, and there's a case to be made for both sides. When that scenario exists, the person can't be declared an "idiot" for either decision he makes.

All that being said, I'm glad one of these worked out for this team for once...

Both Garrard and VY were benched for a ton of interceptions.

Reminds me of Tony Dungy a lot when he was in Tampa. Gruden came in and with many of the same players took a more aggressive approach and won a Super Bowl.
