Why do you always say "we". Do you play for the Texans? lol As for the game I think people here are way too overconfident. You never know with the Texans and their let downs. My fingers are crossed. Will be a close game.
I know, I saw this. Is the Dallas area really this butthurt that the Redskins beat them and Houston looks like the much better team, that they have to show the Patriots at Jets? What kind of sense does that make? Wouldn't showing an in-state rival (and a team the Cowboys play the week after) and a divisional rival be a better game to show than watching the Patriots at the Jets (who don't look that good...especially Sanchez). Hopefully they change it by week's end. If not, looks like I'll have to find a stream online. This is why I need Sunday Ticket.
This is one of those games that worries me a bit. Does the teacher school the pupil? Let's hope not. Can't afford a setback here, pedals firmly on the floor, running over everything in their paths. Texans-31 Skins-13

I like that last line he had in that article. Texans have looked good all pre season, hope they can continue it through the regular season.
Vonta Leach is a hard-hitting, up-front guy for the Texans By JEFFREY MARTIN Copyright 2010 Houston Chronicle In high school, Vonta Leach accumulated carries and touchdowns in a Delaware Wing-T offense. At East Carolina, he matured into a short-yardage fullback and the touches and scoring ceased. It's been more of the same during his seven-year career in the NFL, especially the last five with the Texans. Three rushes for a measly three yards, but that workload suits the 6-foot, 255-pound Leach. "You have to love it," he said. "Not everybody can play fullback; it is a very unique position." The main requirement is a willingness to sacrifice one's body, usually by hurtling it into a defender. Based on his percussive performance Sunday in a 34-24 victory over the Colts, in which he paved paths for Arian Foster to rush for a team-record 231 yards and three touchdowns, Leach might do this as well as anyone in the league. "I haven't heard those kinds of collisions in a while," right tackle Eric Winston said Sunday. "Vonta was absolutely making some guys pay out there." Leach insists this isn't retribution; he isn't a frustrated, overgrown tailback. Nor does he possess an inclination for violence, describing himself as "a laid-back guy who likes to have fun." But even though he went undrafted in 2004, Leach knows he's valuable. "Look at the teams that went deep into the playoffs last year," Leach said. "Everyone had a good running game, and to be effective running the ball, you need a fullback." It's a small community — most teams carry one fullback, if that - but not necessarily tight-knit. Asked Monday who the best fullback in the league might be, Leach said, "The guy down there in Philadelphia, and I'd go with the guy from the Ravens, the Pro Bowler." That would be, in order, the Eagles' Leonard Weaver, who was awarded a three-year, $11 million contract in March before being placed on injured reserve Monday after a knee injury against Green Bay, and Le'Ron McClain, who ran for nearly 1,000 yards as the featured back in Baltimore in 2008. Winning attitude Unlike Weaver, Leach has his health. And after the Texans matched the four-year, $8 million restricted offer sheet he signed with the New York Giants in 2007, Leach has money, too. But recognition from his peers as being among the league's best? That hasn't happened just yet. He says that's not important to him, even though a couple years ago, as the Texans were promoting a few of their players for Pro Bowl berths with T-shirts, Leach made his own, imploring fans to cast votes for him. "What matters to me is winning," he said. "If you win, everything takes care of itself." According to his head coach, Leach is essentially a win-loss barometer. "Vonta is a catalyst for our team," Gary Kubiak said Sunday. "Where he goes, we tend to go." Leach loved where the Texans went Sunday, teaming with Foster to barge into the record books. Foster said he is hungry, eager to prove to people he's for real, and that's similar to the fight the fullback - not just Leach, but the position as a whole in the NFL - is waging. Soft mitts and hard hits He raves about his hands, and the Texans have taken advantage of those mitts. A target mostly in the red zone, Leach has hauled in 63 passes for 427 yards and four touchdowns. But that's not why he's the only fullback on the roster, as he's well aware. "You just have to have a not-care attitude, hit somebody every play and just do it," he said. "Just hit someone; go in there and get it done." http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/fb/texansfront/7201305.html
I feel like that will work in our favor. He will try to scramble and get taken down. For how much they pressure Manning last week, they did not get a lot of sacks, I expect actual sacks this week with McNabb's style of play.
They didn't get sacks on Manning because Manning probably has the quickest release of any QB in the NFL. They knocked Manning to the ground around ten times though.
Texans: 31 Redskins: 14 * McNabb throws 2 interceptions, 1 of them goes to the house and it will be Kareem Jackson with his first pick! * Foster runs for 120 yards and a touchdown * Andre Johnson gets two touchdowns to seal the deal in the 2nd half. * Rackers will make a 40 yard field goal in the 4th quarter. ... just having fun with a more detailed prediction!
The redskins are horrible...the Texans should blow them out...i hope I get to catch some of it...will be tailgating at the Cowboy game at noon then flying back...maybe at the airport... Texans: 35 foreSkins: 9
I like how the Sporting News article says we beat a Superbowl contender and so did the Redskins. Boy those cowgirls are hyped.
we may be more talented (not sure if that is true) .. but if i had to put my money on one team (between texans and colts) to win the division ... i d pick the colts ... i think the 2 things that helped us win against colts (besides the obvious ) was the first 3 and out series for the colts and rackers making the 49 yarder .. if rackers had missed that FG colts would have gotten the ball with good field position and only down 3-0 ..if we didnt go into half time up, we would prob not have run the ball as much
Well, some of us are more emotionally and financially invested in our sports teams than we are with our hair gels, so we say "we".
