That was a pathetic interview; sounds like he doesn't even want to be here. This is looking like a big mistake. Does he plan to just draw the Texan's money and sit it out?
I think you might be over exaggerating a bit. It just sounds like he's hesitant to play at THIS particular game since he's weary about getting injured again. He said himself that his injuries usually occur on that type of field. It doesn't mean he doesn't want to play for the Texans.
I'll take that wager. I think Seattle's road issues are overblown. And I think clutch should have more donations.
Yeah it's frustrating. Also rubbed me the wrong way when he strung the Texans along during the offseason of whether or not he was signing.
I came away with the impression that he was hoping that the hip would have been farther along, and that he wanted it to be good enough to play last week as a first test. He's got misgivings because the hip's coming around slower than he anticipated and he knows how unforgiving artificial turf is. The worst thing would be an aggravation or set back. I want to see him out there too, especially since it appears as if Swearinger is not as prepared to jump in and handle the position as many of us thought. Personally, I'm far more concerned about Ryan Harris vs Suggs. Here's to a terrific showing and a Texans win.
Is anybody else at all even a little ticked off that it appears we were bamboozled by Coach Reed? Does that bother anyone else, or am I the only one?

Watt & Cush get sacks. AJ & DH both get touchdowns. A cheerleader gets beaned with one of fatties field goal attempts. 3-0 Book it.
If he doesn't play today and play well, I'm calling it a total "con." That interview really irritated me. No matter what, a player should never give an interview like that.
Reed tricked us. I think he wants to play and is motivated, but he tricked us. It was funny when ESPN reported management said they did feel hoodwinked.
No sure why so many fans thought Swearinger would be ready. All I ever heard was "man that guy hits hard". OK, but what about coverage skills? You know the MAIN ability you need from a DB.
This is nonsense. No one in the front office expected us to get three full years of Ed Reed from that contract. They went out and bought themselves a personal coach for their second round pick, since they had lost Quin and knew that his replacement was not on the roster (Keo = stop gap). The Texans got exactly what they wanted. Any decent playing time we get from Reed this year will be gravy.
False.... If we wanted a great coach, we would have hired a coach for 4.5 million. Reeds here to get us a Super Bowl with his play.
And just out of curiosity, what other FA free safeties were signed to comparable deals in the offseason?
