CJ and Tytus both questioning Demeco’s decision to punt leave a sour taste. They shouldn’t be questioning anything. You don’t show up your coach especially during the game.
Honestly, there is a little concern but week 1, on the road, against a really good team. They just looked "off" or not ready for whatever reason. And they were definitely out coached. Meco, Nick, CJ and the D needs to be better, they will be better.
Seeing the amount of sizzle plays by both of these teams (in the Buffalo-Baltimore game) just makes me look forward to Rockets season lol. We are so behind both. Would love for this post to make me look dumb by the end of the year of course.
It’s easy when you have Lamar and Allen. That’s probably the two most dynamic QBs in the league and potentially in NFL history
Its almost like the Bills and the Ravens play a different sport. Texans are no where near to winning anything.
You predicted a blowout, not a close game that came down to the emergency kicker fumbling a ball on what would have been the game winning drive. You got laughed at for your blowout prediction and when you were proven wrong, you came back to claim victory. How do you expect anyone to take you seriously?
The series where it looked like Tytus was upset is when Dalton was stopped on their own 35 yd line and it was 4th and 1
Man the bills fans have a fun team to watch .... I love the Texans, and I'll be a fan till I die.... But man, I really hope they can figure something out offensively. Today was as boring as 90% of last season's games.
Someone send a note to NRG and let them know TDs are worth more than field goals. Oh and it’s okay to invest in an offensive line. That’s not against the rules. Text, email, fax or carrier pigeon. Don’t matter just send it.
Just finished watching a weekend of football college and pro and an concluded with an epic SNF game with Buffalo Baltimore. After watching all this football.... it stinks but the Texans really struggle having an identity on offense. Are we a running football team or passing? This starts with Demeco, Caley and Stroud. That last drive sans the Dare fumble was actually legit (At this point no reason to bring Pearce out unless Nick or Dare get hurt). No reason they can't effectively do this most of the game. The Rams are an 8-8 football team so losing to them is like meh... We are so far away from Baltimore KC and Buffalo. So disheartening as so many teams keep getting better and the Texans never come out with statement wins against legit competition. So yet another season starts 0-1. We shall see... PS Stingley had a bad game
CJ's problem is that his initial step after recognizing pressure is often wrong and leads to a sack, rather than escaping. He had 10-12 of these last year. When #90 broke free, he stepped backwards into 90 instead of sliding up in the pocket and letting 90 pass on the outside, then step to the right to escape the pocket. On the flip side, his spin move from earlier in the game was great. Got him out of the pocket and he found a receiver off-script. I'd like to see more of this, they lead to big chunk plays.
