The entire offense feels more comfortable when they don't huddle. You can't do it the entire game but do it a bit more than when forced to. Pulling a hockey line change with the o line is the same type of mismanagement. They're not that good to break their routines and put the 'best 5' on there.
I did watch, I watched Puka targeted for the entire game running completely free while Adams was mostly contained. Puka was not. Yeah, the secondary was burnt toast because of course a speedy route runner who doesn't even get checked runs through a zone and of course a veteran QB is going to make easy work of him. Sting might not have been on his best game but again...what even is the point of a top 3 CB if you can't put him on the best WR on the opposing team? How do you know that Stingley might have matched up better against Puka than Adams? They were barely even playing man most of the time lol.
CJ isn't god awful but I just don't see him recapturing the magic from his rookie year when he was too inexperienced to know any better and he just slanged it with confidence. He was throwing to guys before they even came out of their breaks. Now he plays cautious.
188? 70% completion on 7 yards per attempt Int hit his receiver uncontested in both hands on what was a good throw. Converted multiple third downs with his legs and took care of the ball despite under constant pressure. Yeah just total mid.
Boring, unimaginative play calling on offense. I get that they have a lot of new faces on the OL, and are thin at RB & WR...but still, c'mon. Extremely undisciplined on both O and D, with all the penalties. Right now, there might be 15-20 teams that are better than the Texans. The Texans are very fortunate that they are in the very weak AFC South. They look like a 6 or 7 win team at best if they were in any other division.
Not exactly clever he said You and a bunch of other bozos called me out. Be a man and admit you were wrong but I bet you won't. Pessimistic he said when I was speaking facts. It was in fact homerism to deny we have issues in important areas. But u claimed it was a tiny chance of it happening. Be a man and admit you were wrong
Sorry I guess I was wrong, I swore they put up a graphic that he had 7 catches for 75 at one point. I blame CBS. At least 3/4 were on Stingley but it felt like all of them were. 2 for sure on 3rd down.
Thats my thing, defense didn't lose this game, any ways, Rams have a great WR group, just don't feel like our secondary was up to it which sucks, it's supposed to be the best in the league. Coaching today was just uninspiring overall, especially on offense.
You could not have scripted a worse game to open the season. Offense looked as bad as it ever did last year. Same issues picking up stunts, (free rushers galore), same drive killing penalties, same lack of explosive plays, same uninspired play calling, same 1yd and a cloud of dust running game, perpetually being in third and long etc. Just dont gave much hope for this team finally breaking through.
This team needs new ownership. The McNairs are awful at running a football team. I'm not sold on Demeco now that he has hired another bust of an offensive coordinator. Just unbelievable. We made the Rams look like the 85 Bears on defense.
Sting could have been better but those Adams catches IIRC were pretty close, one he kind of bumped off Sting for the catch. Puka was just running free the entire time, as someone mentioned, its crazy how often we had Pitre covering WRs today. Not sure what that was about, felt like the Rams were picking on him.
Rams are a good team with the best couch in football (IMO). BUT we look a lot like the Texans of old..... Defense was a bit disappointing but the offense was the biggest disappointment. Maybe we win the game on the last drive.... but we didn't.
Our yards to go on 3rd down was something like 11 lol. Thats the game right there. Whatever. On to the next disappointment.
