yeah, i understand that. and you should. i'd still argue there might have been a better way....but i can't argue with the fact that Kubiak knows the situation a lot better than I do.
Since when does him being a hell of a player, and someone that trains like crazy (although, I think the Overtrained Athlete Syndrome is BS) make him a "Psycho LB?" I don't see Cushing as a "Psycho LB," I see him as a verbal leader and a play maker who is an absolute freak. How do you feel about him being the catalyst that has changed the whole psyche of our defense? How do you feel about him being (arguably.. you can throw a few others in the mix, like Antonio Smith...that's why I say arguably) one of two players that essentially took a below average run defense and turned it into a top run defense? As far as the "stayed off YouTube" comment goes, what does that have to do with ANYTHING? Lol. You're just digging for something with the Cushing comments. I would call them borderline trolling. It's like you're trying to strike a nerve with someone in here to bate them into something. What's up with that?
Lmao. So Arian is late to a meeting, and completely misses another. Kubiak decides to bench him instead of fining a guy who probably makes 800,000 right now (rookie contract?). Sends message to the team that missing a meeting hurts not just the player but the entire team. Game begins, Ward scores a TD, Slaton does surprisingly well. We are tied. Arian Foster eventually gets to play, we win the game. Now, where the **** did Kubiak do something wrong? When is it ever wrong to punish a player for messing up not only ONCE but TWICE?
I find is both stupid and hilarious that Braylon Edwards was benched for a shorter amount of time for a DUI than Foster was for missing a meeting.
Actually, nevermind, I just found their youtube vid. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/kMYmKZfwUC4?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/kMYmKZfwUC4?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object> Here's their website too : http://www.texansbullblog.com/ They actually do a really good job with Texans analysis and videos.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it like Foster gets paid a dollar per yard? Or maybe that was only last year... Nonetheless, I agree that what Kubiak did shows no one player is above the team but benching Foster that long against any other team would spell disaster. Luckily, he did it against the Raiders.
