This coming week is gonna be exciting as hell for me!

Finally get to watch Rockets basketball again, Cushing's return and get to embarrass the Giants and the golden boy Eli!

No tests this week so I can focus solely on sports!

i like nolan but man is that guy lucky .. both of his interceptions came with a lot of luck i think .. the first one someone else tipped and he was in the area .. the next one the receiver dropped .. he was actually not there to help out in the coverage .. and got the drop .. on the one throw in the end zone he was soo late on the help that he almost got an interception after the ball was tipped off the hand of the receiver ..

true he was extremely lucky that BOTH of them came off of tipped passes but i was still impressed with his quick reflexes and catching ability to pull them in.

the first he semi dove for the ball and the second he one handed that sucka

You call it luck, i call it opportunity. To bad Nolan wasn't playing against Dallas when Wilson was "unlucky" in dropping the pick 6...

Doesnt matter how he gets it...what matters is that he gets it.

Wilson has had two for sure interceptions that have turned into incomplete passes for the other team.

This is a game of inches...you need to take advantage of every inch, and Nolan does just that.

Nolan should be getting nothing but love for his two picks. Last year, Jairus Byrd led the league in picks (I think). I watched tons of Bills games. 90% of his picks were the type that Nolan got today. That's why they call them a ball hawk. When the ball goes into the air, a good free safety finds it.

The tips and bounce offs happen every game. It has happened on each of our games, the difference is that Nolan actually came up with them. It's about making the play not about luck.

I think against the cowboys that had a couple that shouldve been interceptions but were. The plays were not made then, they were made against the raiders. Its about making the plays when they are available.

I have to disagree here. Benching a player for missing meetings is a bit harsh. Fine him - yeah I can go with that but Kubiak got lucky they were playing the Raiders and not the Jets else this would have boomeranged back on his ass. Let's see how manly Kubiak will be with his two "druggies" when they come back. I'm willing to bet that everyone will be oohing and awing the over-trained LB after 4 weeks of watching him on YouTube including Kubiak.

I like the three-deaded monster at RB. I know it was partially due to Foster being disciplined but it really seemed to work well.

When they come back, Cushing and Brown will have served their punishments just like Foster did when he sat for the first 1/3 of the game. You do something wrong, you get punished. If Kubiak didn't enforce the rules equally ("Man, Foster shouldn't have been suspended just for missing meetings!") then you end up with a split locker room.

BTW Being suspended for the first part of a game for missing team meetings is standard even in most college programs. Arian should have known what was going to happen for screwing up. He was actually lucky, since most of the time it's for the entire first half. But hey, don't let that stop you from finding something to complain about.

I agree..this is pro ball...not college or high school. Fine the man. Make him pay up for missing meetings. Find a way to punish him.

But don't punish the rest of the team and the paying fans for it by sitting him for a half during a week where your best player is on the bench injured. You can't afford to lose that game.

    Glad it worked out.

    GO TEXANS!

Question: Any news on the injuries? Specifically, will the following guys be playing next week against the Giants:

    1) Dre Johnson
    2) Jacoby Jones
    3) Bernard Pollard
    4) Owen Daniels

Am I missing anyone else that didn't come into the game 100% or had to leave the game early? I can't seem to find anything about it on Chron.com (surprise!).

Who's complaining here? I take issue with all of this talk here about Foster becoming a "primadonna" and praising Kubiak for "nipping this in the bud" in one breath and in the next breath drooling over getting the "OT-LB" back next week. Now if you want to equate missing team meetings with getting suspended by the LEAGUE for 4 games, then be my guest. Have fun looking the other way while drinking the koolaid.

Maybe that's how you do things in college but in case you haven't noticed: this ain't college. If this is Kubiak trying to send some kind of "message" then I have to laugh. It will be interesting to see what message he sends to Brown and Cushing if any.

I would understand if it was just one meeting, or an isolated incident, but it was multiple meetings... and apparently there is a history.

Granted, we won't know the whole story, but Foster should be treated no different than anybody else that would miss multiple meetings.

I am a little worried about what success will do to him... he's such a steal of a bargain right now that you know there will be contract issues come the end of the season.

trying to send a message? He did send a message and it seemingly hit home. Arian, himself, said as much. Now it's over with.

As for Cush and Brown, the message was sent by the league. WHat more of a message is there left? Just like Arian, they did their time and not it's game on.
