It's seemed to me like Nading/Mitchell/Ogunleye got a lot of snaps once we were up 31-14. After that all the QB pressure was gone.

I think Kubes was trying to get more time for the backups in the d-line rotation. It was Ogunleye's first game and he didn't look all that great. I'm actually glad he got his feet wet now.

I think Nolan showed that our scouting department is pretty awesome.

That was going into the game. He has 85 attempts now.

After today, Foster is averaging 6.3 yards per carry.

3-1 atop the AFC South with a home game against the Giants next week. Brian Cushing and Andre Johnson ARE walking through that door next week. Damn it feels good to be a Texan.

    @McClain_on_NFL

Arian Foster was benched in the first half by coach Gary Kubiak because he missed one meeting last week and was late to another.

That's cute Kubiak, but if Foster was sitting and Ward/Slaton were getting 2-3 ypc, we'd be calling for your head.

    Nolan, what a ball hawk!

That isn't good. I understand Arian is "laid back", but this better not be the start of a pattern.

Grown man can't come to work on time or doesn't come in at all, that's not Kubiak's fault and in almost any job you get punished for that stuff.

Don't like hearing that. He seemes like a kid who, despite his odd traits, has his head on straight. Let's hope this was an isolated incident that both he and the team can put behind them.

Someone tweeted later on that he had said he wouldn't do that ever again and apologized to his teammates.

He is an odd guy... and he may be somebody that ends up "craving" the limelight that is about to be thrown at him (if he keeps this up).

As long as the team doesn't have any TO/Ochocinco drama, they should be fine. But, he does have to show up to work to get a chance to play.... I don't have any problem with the disciplining if he's missing meetings.

Yeah, twice in one week is inexcusable. As good as Foster is, I hope Ben Tate has a successful recovery. I hate the fact we're so dependent on a player who's already living up to his reputation.

I doubt they know if he is going to play till later in the week. Good news is that bye week is coming up soon so he could get some rest.

Probably will be a lot like this week. Game-time decision. High ankle sprains typically don't get better with just one week of rest. Then again, they don't get worse with 1 week of rest either.

The team shouldn't have as big of a problem against the Giants secondary, but Schaub will face some heat from the Giants front 4.

Jacoby Jones and OD need to get healthy as well.

Foster absolutely deserved it. You don't let what's essentially a rookie develop that kind of "I'm above the rules" attitude and behavior.

Good thing Ward/Slaton came to play. Ward was killing out there.

With the team so undermanned, with Daniels even downgraded to spot duty, that's a fine win on the road.

Yeah, I agree. You can't let all the national hype he's generating, and deserving of, go to his head. Kubes' gotta reel this thing in before it gets away from us.

Luckily he made his point without costing us a win today.

Hillarious going back and reading all the posts bashing Kubiak for not playing Foster at the start of the game, when it was esentially HIS offense that was allowing guys like Derrick Ward and Steve Slaton to tear it up.

Foster's lucky he got in the game when he did. The Texans have had enough issues with the suspensions... they don't need to add Prima-donna issues as well.

    This is definitely Kubiak's team...
