I expect a heavy dose of running and play-action passes for the second half. The offense needs to get in some sort of rhythm... and they haven't been able to form a pocket for Schaub all game.
Is anybody else just totally not into this game as much as you should be? It just feels like a pre-season game! The Texans need to bring a little more emotion like the first 2 games. Even though we have 14 points, we just feel kinda flat!
Looking at the score and the Raiders' stat lines, you'd never guess that the defense had 4 sacks in that half.
Well this game is no gimmie: both defenses look pretty good. I don't understand holding Foster out. If he hurt his ankle in warmups, how did it get all better in the second quarter? Schaub doesn't look particularly sharp. Obviously, this is a game the Texans must have.
Maybe not that bad, but I never thought they were close to being a good team... at least not good enough to deserve a national TV home game on NBC.
Foster wasn't hurt. It was a "coaches decision". In other words, he probably late to a team meeting or something like that. He admitted that he was a lot to a few meeting last year but he claimed he was more "mature".
Kubiak needs to run the ball more. So far, 20 passes and 13 runs even though they are getting 7.2 YPC.
I really, really hope I'm wrong, but this game has an ominous feel to it. Oakland is moving the ball pretty well. They are a sack-fumble away from being up at the half. The Texans have played pretty well on offense, but it looks like they are going to have to continue to hit paydirt to stay out in front.
Well, we threw like 5 passes on that last drive because the clock was an issue. It was pretty balanced before that.
