You realize that if they bring in Cower, it will take a several seasons to restructure the defense? Not to mention we would have to get rid of arguably our most important defensive player I Mario Williams

Do explain why we would have to get rid of Mario Williams.

Who says we have to get rid of Mario just because Cowher likes the 3-4? Bruce Smith played in the 3-4. I'm actually intrigued by the idea of Cushing being in a 3-4 defense, look at his former USC teammate Clay Matthews, he's racking up sack numbers in it this season.

Do you really think Mario can play OLB??? We also have no one close to being able to play nose tackle. And although we dont have a lot of talent at DT, where would any of them play?

Texans should win a close one.....I think AJ should rest his ankle since he's probably gonna be blanketed by Asomugha all day and probably wont be very productive anyway

Maybe let him play as a decoy. Let Asomugha blanket AJ and leave KW, JJ, and OD to the rest of their defense. If they move Asomugha, AJ can serve as a possession receiver.

Me also. I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of 17-13. Raiders suck against the run, Texans suck against the pass. Raiders run the ball well, Texans pass the ball well. Raiders can rush the QB, Texans occasionally rush the QB. Both teams suck in the red zone. Both have RBs that have run the ball well. Both have shaky kicking games. Game will most likely be decided by mistakes and turnovers.

Gradkowski has completed 50% of his passes. Should be a win.

He's averaging 4.8 per carry. Granted he only has 12 carries but at least he's held onto the ball so far. I'd actually like to see a little more of him - not at the expense of Foster's carries, mind you. I'd just like to see us run the ball 40 times.

Anyway, I added Heyward-Bay to my fantasy team as a starter as a way to hedge my emotions for this game.

Why is the Texans kicking game shaky?

Stat I heard on the radio this morning...

In the last 16 games, the Texans have the #1 rushing defense. They have rendered teams rushing attacks relatively useless. Raiders can't pass and the Texans can defend the run. McFadden is knicked up and there is NOTHING behind him. Jason Campbell is currently their 2nd leading rusher. Gradkowski is 3rd.

Slaton's runs are a bunch of no gains sandwiched around a decent long run. The last game he averaged 4.7 yards on 3 carries for 14 yds, but his long was 16 yds. So it's feast or famine with the guy. Personally it pisses me off that he seems to run right into tackles. And he's a horrible kick returner.
