I'm just talking the results of this particular game, not so much the outlook of the team.

Very true, if Savage started last week, we'd have just got done watching the Pats beat the Raiders.

definitely could be and the people that want jimmy will turn on him but at least that way they can't say jimmy was forced on b.o.b but completely forget the stall job b.o.b pulled with fitzie, mallet and hoyer.

there are five options. Get him jimmy, pray Oz learns the system, build a bubble device for tom savage that gets accepted by the rules committee, miraculously land the elite baby maker but not qb rivers and hope he doesn't blow his load either or draft Qb in the late 2nd or 3rd.

which ever it is, we're in good position as the D will continue to slap the faces of AFC south. Clowney and merciless are holy phenoms. Jackson needs to make the transition to safety since he still can't turn his head around.(being saying it since 2011)

That's simply not true. The Texans have an average or slightly below average line. Lots of teams have worse lines, yet very few have worse QBs. Thus, it's apparently fairly easy to have a bad line and QBs that perform better than Brock.

It may grade out to be "average", but when part of it is awesome and the other part is an abomination, in practice, it's much worse than average. Anyway, we can debate it forever, but in the end the Texans won't be drafting a QB in the first round so the conversation will be pointless.....just like a few years back when all of the Manziel fans and Bortles fans were pissed off that I was telling them the Texans would draft Clowney for months.

So exactly how good we played in this game?

    - we lost by 18.
    - we scored only a few, less than 20.
    - our offense is a joke, as usual.
    - our special team is a joke, as usual.
    - our defense, was good and decent for the front 7, but also a joke in the secondary for all those lob passes.

    Sigh.....

Fans would have hated him worse than Osweiler after his first season and would be begging the team to draft another QB.

Savage would have NOT lost to the Raiders...The Texans have been winning ball games despite of production under center. Savage wouldve made better throws.

I disagree, he couldn't even get the ball past the 50 against the Titans, I think it's worse vs the Raiders....plus, he's made of glass, who is to say he even makes it through the game?

I would rather have had Weeden out there than either Brock or Savage. I hope they bring him back next year as I think he has the best chance to give you average production.

but you have to be able to get on the field. I like savage but he's like that character in that bruce willis movie, not die hard 3 the other one.
