Really worried about the passing attack of the Pats. Hoepefully the texans can dominate T.O.P and keep Brady off the field.
Julian Edelman has been placed on IR, and the Pats have re-signed Donte Stallworth. http://espn.go.com/blog/boston/new-...id/4735687/edelman-on-ir-stallworth-re-signed
If we lose the last 3 games and the Colts win out, we'll be a wild card regardless of how badly other teams do. That would be the absolute worst scenario, but I don't see it happening.
I'm not feeling good about this game. But, I hope it will be entertaining. Our secondary has digressed. Brady will have a good day with us, especially if J.Joseph will be out. 35-31 Patriots in OT
Teams that can throw to a multitude of receivers like the Packers, Saints, Pats and Giants give us serious issues. However our defense is due for a great game and I expect the pass rush to be better with Whitney starting. Jonathan Joseph will be a huge upgrade and don't be surprised if Routt gets a lot of time covering the slot. Manning will need to make plays. On offense our line should hold because the Pats don't rush the passer well. Shaub will probably need to throw 40 times, and some intermediate routes to Daniels and short routes to Foster (remember when we did that?) will let us to go to AJ. Texans 35 Pats 34
Quarterbacks like Aaron Rodgers, Tom Brady, and Drew Brees can make receivers like Jacoby Jones look like Jerry Rice. I'm not too concerned on who will be in the game in the receiving corps for the Patriots. If Mercilus is able to keep pressure with Watt on Brady, Texans can win this.
This is a trap game, because next week we are going against Luck and the mighty Colts. (obviously Im kidding).
I think we're screwed if we get behind early. Pats are really good at takeaways, we've really got to take care of the ball.
True, the Texans struggle with quaterbacks that know how to spread it out to their receivers and tight ends. Even worse when those quaterbacks are mobile. At the same time, those same quaterbacks usually struggle with a consistent pass rush. That's the key for the Texans to win this game. Brady doesn't need a whole lot of time to do his work but pretty boy doesn't like to get dirty. The Texans should take notes from the seahawks; they (barely) beat the Packers and the Patriots.
