Kinda hard to defend when the other team is getting the ball on the Texans 30 yard line.

Well, that's certainly one way to look at it. Or you can think a little more critically and realize that Carr is trying to wear out the Patriots' offense. The thought is that they'll be so tired scoring touchdowns that they will be exhausted in the 2nd half. At this point, the Texans defense will begin to produce some stops, and the offense will suffocate the Patriots with 3-yard swing passes and WR slip screens.

David Carr has to realize that his career here is over.

He's like Steve Francis after the Rockets had decided, even before the Tmac deal became reality, that his 5 year tenure with the franchise was done.

So long David, best of luck whereever you go.

Swoly, are you actually trying to defend DC? Hello, 2 picks plus, Stanley's reliable fan punts and we are practically setting up the Pats O.

Legitimately, it could and should be 41-0 right now because, the Texan O is a complete utter joke!

Dayne is at least trying but this just in we're down 27-0 so forget Captain Comeback visiting Gillette Stadium.

The Texan D is trying to make this game palatable but, Carr cant help shooting himself and this O in the foot over and over again.

I have no arguments about that, Stack24. My arguments are that no one has mentioned a single name of anyone on DEFENSE at all. It's Carr's fault that the Defense can't (a) recover a fumble, (b) get an interception, (c) cover a receiver without getting flagged, (d) put pressure on Brady, (e) etc., etc.

It is upsetting that every other post is "CARR this" or "Carr that", but, f*ck, man, he gets no help on D or on Special Teams or in offense. I know KUBIAK sees that.

Everyone is pissed about interceptions. I know right now he's sucking bad. YES. Heck, even I am, and I know DC hasn't thrown a great game in a long time or maybe ever (in these critics' eyes), but... f*ck, man, this is a TEAM. He's not playing out there by himself.

Even if you put Montana or Steve Young back there, the Defense couldn't do anything about it... but no one mentions that.

That was tough to watch. That was like the high school freshman teams' offense having to play against the varsity defense. Anything the freshman do on offense is negated by the varsity (patriots) just being bigger, faster, and smarter.

Sorry, this is not a trainwreck. This is a trainwreck that caught on fire, exploded, and the debris set everything else in sight on fire and there is no water to put it out. All you can do is watch it burn.

On any other team Joey Carr would be done but for the Texans he is the savior.

no comparison, steve's crew made the playoffs his last season. the tmac deal was kind of a surprise that the rockets had to jump on. the other thing, the rockets upgraded giving up francis, that won't happen here.

I couldn't ask for a better 1st half. I think it is safe to say that Carr is playing his last road game as a Texan. 2 ints, sacks, another fumble, and more batted balls. That 2nd int was an absolutely awful decision. Thre were like 5 Patriots surrounding the reciever.

This team is an absolute joke. If you take into account the games last yr vs. STL, at TEN, at SF, that were games basically won, that we just totally gave away, I think this team was actually better last yr. They are pathetic, especially Carr.

The Pats offense is averaging 5 yards per pass attempt and 3.4 yards per rush in this game. That's pretty good defense. It's not the fault of the defense that they're getting the ball in Texans territory all the time.

Steve knew he was done here after the 2004 season ended.

So did most people on this board.

you mean the same steve that b****ed and moaned his way out. the only reason steve's career ended here is because t-mac wanted to be here.

its not the same, I'll agree there are a lot of similarities between steve's and carr's career here. but that's not one.

Let's look at the bright side, the number 1 pick in last year's draft has 3 tackles (the future looks bright  )

The point Swoly is this, Carr's play repeatedly is NOT inspiring his team. A QB that even played decent would have a chance with the D showing improvement, but David isnt even going down fighting. He is doing largely what he has done for the last several weeks. Nothing!

He is doing nothing to refute the critics. Sometimes when the chips are down, you have got to be a MAN! On the field, DC is hardly producing a whimper of hope!

Dude, stop looking too far into this.

All I'm saying, or ever said, is that both of them know/knew they were done as things were winding down.

    Simple as that.

Really? I wonder why Andre Johnson is the #1 receiver in the NFL? Oh, yeah, he throws it to himself.

This is a good drive, McNair will probably think Carr is the next Elway.
