I felt good about the change when I saw that Pancakes said he would be stunned if Hoyer isn't the qb Sunday. As usual thank you pancakes if this is true.

it's why i don't worry about the astros. he was on last week saying the rangers will win the division.

Not necessarily, that info could've come from anyone. I'm sure everyone in the organization knew about it not long after Mallett did.
That's fair, I hope you're right. I like Mallett but he's not always the most mature person. Him leaking the information would be disappointing. Either way I am beyond thrilled that BOB did the right thing.
I think Rappaport has broken some other non Mallett related Texans stuff if I remember correctly so i'm sure he's got a source in the know. Could be wrong though.
He did what he was expected to do. That's the problem with head coaches like Pubes. Their egos get in the way. This is admitting he was wrong and I'm fine with that.
If the QB competition was really as tight as BOB said it was, then we shouldn't be surprised by a QB switch when one of them looks god awful. The question now is, what does Mallet have to do to lose the job?
We all knew Hoyer wasn't the long term solution, he's a journeyman backup. We finally get to see if Mallett is a viable long term solution. I'd like to see if he can improve on his weaknesses (statue in pocket, limited mobility, makes stupid throws at times, hot head, immature at times). 2 things that skews Mallett's eval; our Oline and running game has major question marks, actually that all stems from the Oline. O'Brien needs to do what the Chiefs did and incorporate quick throws and screens so Ryan won't take too many hits.
