That's just my point Max: why the hell should you or ANYONE else here give one rat's ass what David Carr has to say bout anything now especially when you have Charlie Casserly on CBS every Sunday saying stuff that even more stupid and ill-informed. If you can ignore what comes out of Casserly's mouth, then surely you can ignore what comes out of David Carr's mouth as well. This is not meant as an attack on you personally Max but da**it, this hypersensitivity and defensiveness to what people have to say about the Texans is out of control. My attitude is to let other folks say what they may - just because they say it doesn't make it a fact. Look at what's happened here: we're not talking about the Texans or game strategy for Sunday or injuries or anything. No, we're talking about David Carr because of something he said. You know what my response to what Carr said would have been? Sunday at 3:00 after the Texans have won the game, my response would have been "Well, we may not have won that St. Louis game but we did win the one that counts".
Hillboy, why don't you just start a thread titled "Charlie Casserley and Dom Capers Suck" just to even things out. I'll even post that I agree, if that'll make you feel better.
WHOO. Man, I can't wait till tomorow morning. I'm off from my 48hr shift....and TEXANS FOOTBALL at noon. WHOO HOOO!!! Until then..... but tomorow.......
Because Charlie Casserly wasn't talking directly about the Texans. Stop pretending you're too dense to get this. This was last year's QB and the poster boy of the franchise telling us that the Texans couldn't have beaten the Rams in St. Louis...and he was thankful he was elsewhere with a team that actually could. The irony was so thick you could cut it with a knife. It's locker room material. I promise you there isn't a fan base in the country that wouldn't be having the exact same discussion given the same fact scenario.
WHO IS DOING THIS????? IS IMADRUMMER??? I don't see him doing that at all. Desert Rocket says he believed that....but other than him...who is saying that? I'm damn glad they're all gone.
MadMax, we know how much you loved casserly, capers and especially Carr. But you have to let it. The dream is over, its time to move on.
yeah..i was clearly a huge casserly and capers fan. i've never once criticized them here. i think they're blameless.
Max, I have heard that dimwit Casserly say some of the most infuriating and stupid things about the Texans you'd ever want to hear and you know what? I couldn't care less about anything he or Capers or Carr has to say period. If they knew WTF they were talking about, they'd still be here running a SUCCESSFUL NFL organization. As for what Carr said about the Texans not beating St. Louis, well, it occurs to me that he was right because he would have been the Texans' QB in that game. Sounds to me like, the guy knows what he's talking about in this instance. A goodly number of responses spring to mind on what Carr said but the best one was given by my late grandfather. He called it the "First Law Of Sewage" and it goes like this: "If you don't start no sh*t, there won't be any sh*t". Let's see what "Pretty David" has to say tomorrow after the Texans kick some Panther butts. I'm betting he won't be so glib with his words then.
My bad. I now see where I wasn't clear enough on this point. I wasn't referring to you in the singular tense (MadMax) rather I mean you the plural tense (you folks). It's very clear from reading your previous posts that your feelings on Capers, Carr, Casserly & McNair mirror my own. To suggest otherwise would be flat wrong.
Now that's a great thought but really, those two aren't worth the effort nor the waste of space on Clutchfans.
You and me both, bud. I bet Carr would wet his pants if he actually had to DO something on the field vs his old teammates after the bulletin board comment he made about the Texans. C'mon Jake just fake a take out of the game injury. No one ever has to know.
On another note, it's three hours to kickoff ... Let's go Texans!!! This is a real test for our boys today. Definitely take the under 40 in the points. The D will be there on both sides but, Schaub in the end gets it done in a hostile environment. It won't be easy. Mario needs to establish consistency to his game and continue to wreak havoc in the backfield whether or not that necessarily yields monster game stats or not. Dunta you want a challenge you got one. Let's see ya lock down Smitty definitely a tall order.
carr playing with julius peppers, the panthers have the top two draft picks from 02. maybe we can get bush in 3 years.
This is a good test for the team today. It's too bad it's not later in the year because I don't think they're quite ready to play a team like this on the road. Their strength is the D line and our weakness is the O line. Enough said. Panthers 24 Texans 13 Please prove me wrong Texans!

Just a note, caught Hoge & Co. on ESPN insider giving Kuby and the Texans some props. Hoge said he would definitely start Schaub over Leinart because Matty S is definitely the more polished one. Furthermore like our nucleus of Green, AJ, and Daniels, plus like our D said Matthew Berry. Obviously, on the fence if our boys are for real? Winning a game against a perennial playoff jugernaut will go far to answering that question.
Can someone please post a live feed or link for the texans game since I'm here in jalisco where they are only brodcasting cowboys thanks a lot
