I love it too, he's running towards the sidelines, but when he catches the ball he turns down field and runs straight and right over the cb's.
omg, NE is only up 3 against freaking Seattle with 2 minutes left.. if they manage to lose it, we might have a shot!!!!
lol at the cat comparing ot in nfl to computers deciding the two teams who will play for a national championship.
How bout' them Texans!!! I was able to watch the game up here and the first TD was amazing...I was screaming TD at the gym... How bout' that ending...Awesome...
This is not a problem. Taking a quick look if the Texans win out and finish 9-7 then all that has to happen is New England lose out 0-3, Baltimore lose out 0-4, Jets lose out 0-3 and Miami can go 1-2. Then woohoo Playoffs! Am I looking at this right? A Baltimore win tonight eliminates the Texans?
Agreed. All QB's will throw picks from time to time due to how good some defenses can be. Sage, however, throws the WTF interceptions that just cripple any team. The issue with Schaub is his health. If he's healthy, he's plenty good enough to lead this team.
great win for the Texans. seems as though they are starting to turn the corner. Hopefully, they continue to build on this
not to be a downer, but dont we say that practically every year? Nevertheless, I am impressed with the win.
Slaton really appears to be turning into poor man's Barry Sanders or something. Great. Now the offensive game is bonafide top 5...The defense is playing better when they blitz more and they have Super Mario. Get a good cornerback or safety in the first round and I really think playoffs absolutely soon in 2009-10 Alot of things are great or at least good with the Texans, but they really need an upgrade in coaching. At least the defensive coordinator. Sure the defense has been better, but I think the defense is capable of achieving more besides the secondary. The defense seems to live up to potential when the blitz is utilized more. ...Add more weapons to the secondary on top of the blitz plays and this team could be on the verge of seriously being much better on defense.
I never really believed they were getting on track in the past, but now I am starting to think they are. I hope I am right They are finally starting to finish games and actually win when they should and can. In the past they would have lost this one for sure. Finish the season strong, make some more good off season changes and they could be a real team
I always liked the Buddy Ryan 4-6 defense alot of blitzing and leaving the corners to fend for themselves yea. . you get burned sometimes. . but not always Rocket River
No, we did it twice in the 2004 season. We won our 2nd and 3rd road games against KC and Tennessee. We also won our last two road games against Chicago and Jacksonville.
I couldn't watch the game today but I just saw the highlights on NFL.com. Looks like we could have a dominant offense if we were just able to control the turnovers. With the Daniels and Slaton fumbles, we left a minimum of 10-14 points on the field.
I don't like comparing Slaton to speed backs like Westbrook or Barry Sanders. He is more than that. He runs with more power than Sanders ever did, but ;ess make-you-miss. He looks like a do-it-all type, kind of like a Westbrook mold, but with more power. I'm not the greatest with comparisons, but I would say he's more along the lines of a Clinton Portis-type. I would say he's along the lines of a Marshawn Lynch, but he's not ugly enough, and I have higher hopes for him than that. He's got open-field speed, but he's got between the tackles power, and can receive out of the backfield. The more he works on his blocking, the more of a complete back he's gonna be. And let me tell you, I've got a good feeling about him.
congrats on the win Texan fans. I didn't think they had a chance to win this game and will be happy to admit i was wrong. looking forward to next weeks game.
Funny, Tasker/Johnson made a comment that one move Slaton made was Barry-esque. I dont really think he's a juking back, he had the power to push the piles a few plays, most impressive.
Why didn't you think they had a chance? The Packers are in a huge slump and can't stop the run. They were 5-7 in a crappy division. What about that screams guarantee for the Packers?
Slaton's becoming fun to watch. My only concern with the running game is that the Texans are still weak running it in (and throwing it in, and not fumbling) from inside the 15.
