[Solak] My sense from speaking to league personnel and people close to the Colts’ search is that team owner Jim Irsay wants to hire interim head coach Jeff Saturday as the permanent head coach, and that is the expected outcome.
Your bias is ridiculous. Go and actually watch the Michigan game and all of his throws which I have. He was 31/48 for 349 yards and 2 tds/2 ints. His receivers dropped an unusual amount of passes. Both of his ints came late in the 4th quarter. The first he pitched it forward and it was slightly off and the receiver wasn't quite paying attention. The other with less than 2 minutes left in the game, went off the hands of a receiver. If his receivers were more consistent as they usually are, they would have scored more points in this game, but giving up 45 points to Michigan is the main reason they lost. He was very accurate throughout the game and made some great nfl throws into tight windows. The only thing he could have and probably should have done to help his offense, is run the ball. I'm expecting you to come back with your opinion and no facts or real analysis.
Carr is not going to take only $50 mil guaranteed. He is not going to sign for only 2 years. The Texans can build better with a rookie QB as less money will be tied up in that position. No need for a stop-gap QB. $20 mil a year for a DT and draft a DT/DE at #2. LOL. Bears are not giving a #1 for Tunsil. You can get a #1 for Tunsil from another team, not the Bears. Texans are not trading Tunsil, especially when the draft a QB at #2. So much fantasy in this post. Texans are drafting a QB at #2. Glad you are not the Texans' GM.
I’ve presented you Stroud nut huggers with several facts, all you get back is excuses. Stroud has the largest discrepancy from pressure and non pressure rates in the top QB picks. He had the luxury of elite separation and talent from his receivers. He has a simplified system that has proven to not be conducive to success in the pros. Couple that with Quincy Avery piece of crap ass being anywhere near him and the kid should be off limits. But keep on making excuses for poor performance and holding other players to higher standards.
Bryce or bust!.. at least when it comes to me getting 100% back on board.. I'm hoping lol If not, I'll keep my distance like the last 3 years
I feel pretty much the same. I LOVE Young (worried a little about his frame), want no part of Stroud whatsoever and am wary on Levis. One idea that's been kinda growing on me though is Anthony Richardson at #12, just based off of his superb athletic profile. If he "hits" it will be BIG! Maybe even a better passing Lamar! (with slightly less rb ability) Although if the talking heads are to be believed it may take a slight trade-up to get him. And I'm not sure I want to lose #32 to move up to 8-9. Really like a late 1st. Plus if we did that we'd be "married" to him for at least 2-3 years! One thing though is that the talking heads were WAY off where the top qb's would go last year so maybe he could drop to 12. I do know if we did draft AR one absolute must would be to get an someone on the staff with the last name Kubiak (or a Shanahan disciple)!
I don't wish this on any Texans fan. Because I can sympathize with them, reason being if we draft Stroud I will probably do the same exact thing! lol
